A rough beginning that turned into a fulfilling ending.
When I first arrived, the hostess asked me to wait five minutes, but never returned to update me. I noticed her seating other guests ahead of me, and when I politely followed up, she seemed confused and asked for my name again. It was a frustrating start, as I was patiently waiting and unsure what was happening.
Thankfully, once I was seated, my experience took a positive turn. My server, Sharod, immediately noticed my frustration and went above and beyond to turn things around. He suggested his favorite drink and appetizer and provided exceptional service throughout the evening. His attentiveness truly made me feel seen and valued as a guest.
I also appreciated Shawn, the manager, who took time to check in and explain the seating process. Their combined professionalism completely reframed my experience.
I enjoyed the grilled pineapple cocktail and a perfectly cooked medium ribeye with mashed potatoes, both were delicious.
While my visit began rocky, it ended with warmth, care, and great service. When I return to Houston, I’ll definitely ask to be seated in Sharod’s section.
The food was mediocre. The queso was actually pretty good. The mashed tators doesn’t come with gravy, so you gotta ask for it. They were a lil salty. The porterhouse steak was okay, just a lil salty too. And I asked for medium, it was a lil more rare than medium. I liked the charbroiled taste. But it was a lil greasier than I wanted. The house salad for my other side was old tasting kind of wilted, I didn’t like the croutons. It’s like they use leftover bread from ppl who don’t eat it and use it to make croutons. Tasted the same to me.
The sweet tea and queso was the best thing I ordered. The atmosphere was good. The restaurant was clean.
Just not really worth the money I paid in my opinion. Had to pay for parking as well.
