3rd time at Saltbreaker and it never disappoints. Everything was delicious, but I highly recommend the steak frites, hamachi crudo, smoked trout dip, beef carpaccio, house made focaccia with garlic butter, and lemon tart!

Menu changes a bit but updated regularly on the website

The space is modern, clean, and cozy with beautiful decor. It’s great for a date night or a nice dinner with friends and family!

The food was delish but the service was inconsistent. We were served by multiple ppl but were told Emily would be our services throughout the night we have saw her twice. The food was very well done. We got the burrata, the Caesar, the special anchovy toast, the cast iron chicken, branzino, and the fresh pasta carbonara with the shoe string potatoes and the Brussels sprouts. For dessert, we got the chocolate bar. All in all a great meal for a fair price. Would be back if in the area as it’s one of the nicer restaurants in Alameda

4 stars for the food, 3 stars for service. They acknowledged it was a birthday dinner on arrival. Food was really good, however they brought one wrong dish. Unclear who’s fault it was as the waitress just took it away without explanation and brought the correct one (salmon – was bland). The wait staff were standing around and even passing through our room, but it was impossible to get their attention. We had to get up numerous times to find someone to ask for more water and utensils. Dessert finally came but again with no forks or plates, and not even a birthday candle. We waited for about 10 mins before getting up to ask for help again. Thankfully the food made up for it, but not sure if I’ll be back anytime soon.

“The food was really delicious, the drinks were amazing, and the dessert was okay. I really enjoyed the vibe, and the staff were nice. The only issue I had was that, even though we had a reservation, after about an hour we were asked to leave to make room for more guests. I didn’t appreciate that, as it felt a bit rude. Overall, I liked the experience, but that part was disappointing.

Prompt and friendly service, nice cozy atmosphere, thoughtful tight menu, and good drinks. All dishes were plated beautifully, cooked well using fresh ingredients, but unfortunately the flavor just wasn’t there. Steak was under-seasoned, pastry of the Wellington undercooked, all sauces not bright or bold, multiple components in a dish not cohesive or complimenting the main protein, etc. Modern creative takes on comfort classics seemed to justify the higher-end prices conceptually, but fell short in actual taste.

This spot is very hidden from the outside with lots of parking. I brought my girlfriend here for our date. I made reservations through there website. You can pick bar or patio seating. We sat by the bar. We were greeted by our bartender and started with our drinks. We then ordered the focaccia bread as our appetizer. For mains, we ordered the beef Wellington and fresh pasta then finished our night with a tiramisu. Everything went well, no complaints. Very modern on the inside. Food and drinks were good.

Delicious food! I had the Market greens with steak and my friends had the Thai curry salmon. My steak was melt in my mouth tender and the green were given a special flavor with spiced up seeds on watermelon radish pieces. My dish looked beautiful and tasted great. Excellent combination of quality, flavor, and texture. All of us finished our plates/bowls to the last morsel. Our server was delightful and happy to assist with anything! Also, the lemon meringue tart was homemade and delicious! It’s my favorite restaurant in Alameda now!!

One of our favorite spots! Saltbreaker is a terrific value, with expertly prepared dishes, well-crafted cocktails, and a well-curated selection of wines that nicely cover their food offerings. Super friendly and attentive service, and a lively vibe!

We’ve recently visited Saltbreaker Restaurant and had an amazing experience. The hospitality was top-notch, thanks to the outstanding service provided by the host, Scott. Cannot forget Ceecee, who added a positive touch to the welcoming note and overall stay. They were both incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the burger, accompanied by the round on the house (THANK YOU, Scott). The burger was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a delight. The fries was something not to forget – crispy and perfectly done. The inside of the restaurant has a cozy seating, cute little bar with wide selection of spirits of your taste. The in-house recipe of Manhattan, preferred by an awesome bartender, gets a shout out as well.
I highly recommend Saltbreaker Restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Five stars all the way!

Had dinner with my wife, daughter and her fiance. I had the steak frites, which was excellent! My wife had the pasta, which she loved. My daughter had the mussels in a curry sauce that were excellent, and her fiance had the roast salmon that he said was delicious. Service was great, and parking was plentiful. Yet another great restaurant in Alameda – who knew?
