The Burnt End Ravs were very good! Would definitely recommend. Everything else fell flat and lacked flavor, even with their multiple sauce options. I ordered the 2 meat bestie combo with ribs and pulled pork, with sweet pepper potato salad and pit beans. The ribs were small with little meat, and the pulled pork was pretty flavorless. The beans didn’t have any seasoning, and the potato salad was just person preference (I’m a mustard fan). The server we had was nice and helpful. I’m spoiled on Oklahoma BBQ.

Had a pretty great experience here, stopped by for some lunch. The food came out super fast! By the time I had finished washing my hands after ordering it was already out. Honestly out of everything the fries were the star of the show!! I think they are beef fat fries with some herb seasoning, but it was phenomenal. The food was pretty filling and also affordable. Ended the meal with some gooey butter cake. Because of a mix up in the kitchen it took a while. Overall a great experience.
Even on a weekend afternoon the place was pretty empty.

When you are in the Delmar Loop area, you immediately smell the BBQ in the air from Salt + Smoke.
This is their original location and they now have multiple locations thru out the St. Louis area.
This location is always busy but we were lucky enough to get seated immediately on a Sunday night.
They have a gluten free menu which is always a plus but we were in the mood for just a few appetizers. We started with the Deviled eggs with Bacon which were fantastic and an order of Cherry Smoked wings with Sweet Trashed sauce. The wings were meaty and juicy and the BBQ sauce was so good we ended up buying a bottle to take home.
Their menu is extensive offering salads, sandwiches, plates of BBQ and dessert.
They have a nice selection of crafted beers and bourbons as well.
If you want good St. Louis BBQ,this is definitely a place worth visiting.

Wonderful food. Had brisket and ribs. Both are super tender and full of flavor. My favorite sauce is the sweet.
Sides I had are baked beans and brisket chili. Both are excellent tasting.
I could pass on the roll. Cold and not to my liking. Just my opinion though.

My brother was in town from Dallas, and I wanted to treat him to something new. I had been to Salt + Smoke before and had fallen in love with the deviled eggs and Mac and cheese, but this time, something on the menu caught both our eyes — the fried jalepeno and cheese bologna sandwich! You see, when we were kids, our dad made us fried bologna and put it in a tortilla. Dad called it a “poor man’s meal”, but we remembered it as delicious! But don’t let me get ahead of myself, let’s start with the atmosphere and service. Both were too notch. The rustic, BBQ joint feel was perfect. I wish I had gotten the name of the handsome, very tall gentleman with a kind smile and quick wit’s name, but sadly, I did not. He was very attentive and accommodating and he didnt make fun of us asking for a tortilla. Now to the food. We didn’t want to be too disappointed, so we decided to share a 2 meat platter AND the bologna sandwich. The platter consisted of brisket and pulled pork with the baked beans and Mac and Cheese as sides. All very, very good. I tried the original sauce with my pork and it was a perfect blend of sweet and savory. The star of the show, however, was the fried bologna! We got it plain and dry, but honestly, it didnt need anything on it! Not to spicy, but had a kick. Absolutely delicious and we both regretted not getting our own sandwich. Now I am looking all over the interwebs for some jalepeno and cheese bologna!

I picked up my order. I was disappointed not to see mashed potatoes on the menu. The ribs were Bang’n. The chicken wings could have been a bit less fatty! The fries were peace and tasty! The green beans were good as well. The quality & quantity matched up decently. I very well may visit again before I leave St. Louis.

I’m sorry but this place is wildly overrated. The ribs are bone dry. The brisket (fatty and burnt ends) was better but not spectacular, also on the drier side. We visited on a Friday night, not a Tuesday ay 2pm, so they should have their A game. It wasn’t there.
Mac n cheese….pasta overcooked and mushy.
The deviled eggs however, were delicious. Beans were lovely.

Salt + Smoke I had high expectations, but I don’t get the hype. We were doing a bbq tour around STL 4 spots on the list. They sat us quickly even though it was busy. But tables are super close together and so many sauces on the table, you couldn’t see the person across from you in our two person table. I ordered half rack of ribs and small order of fatty brisket my sides were Mac and cheese and baked beans. Man I was so disappointed in the ribs it was so dry and I’m not taking about the rub on it but the meat it self was dry. The brisket was decent. Now the Mac and cheese was straight up nasty Mac was just mushy way over cooked, ever had over cooked pasta? it turns it mush nasty texture! Bake beans were boring. The pop over was dry only was able to eat parts of it. I wouldn’t go back. Too many better options for BBQ in St Louis!

We had a good experience. We came with a party of five. I left off one star for the limited seating options as most tables were four top. But they accommodated us and moved two tables together. The food was great and service was timely. Pricing was great for portion sizes. I had Kale Crunch Salad with Salmon added. There was outdoor seating available as well.

The place was all of the hype, this place represents St. Louis well. The food was good, just a little dry. The sides where a 10/10, the brisket just needs to be a little juicier
