We always stop by Salt & Pepper whenever we are at Kartrite with our kids. The owners are always so kind, attentive, friendly. The food is amazing. We always get the bulgogui platter. Their bulgogui is on point and so delicious! The second night, we ordered take out and good thing the owner was there to pack the huge order! Thank you for the to utensils and plates! Greatly appreciate you.

The food was good, but the service and atmosphere is what truly stood out to make this a great place! Wait staff was super friendly… Truly the nicest experienced in our trip to New York. I believe it to be one of the owners who came out. She told us about the “Italian” sandwich which we ordered for our daughter. She said that it probably isn’t the type we were thinking of and when she saw my daughter didn’t like it because it was so different… She came back with another “Italian” sandwich made in the way my daughter was used to at no extra cost! Wow, who does things like that anymore? Especially in New York! It truly stood out among all the restaurants we visited in our week of vacation, thank you! By the way, I ate that sandwich the next morning for breakfast… It was super delicious… Just different than what my daughter was used to for an “Italian”.

For fresh and flavorful Asian cuisine on the go, Salt & Pepper on Broadway Monticello is a must-try. The friendly staff ensures a seamless takeout experience, and the minimal wait time is a plus. Don’t worry about front parking; ample space is available in the back. Recommended for a delicious takeout meal!
For the dining in please do not have high expectations, they use cheap silverware, still recommend.

Great place! Huge portions, low prices, super friendly staff. The food here is excellent!! Small place with only a few tables, but it’s worth the wait to grab a seat, or even just to grab and go. I will be back for sure. We got the vegetable fried rice, and the fried rice combo. Delicious.

OMG what a sneaky little gem this is! Located in the heart of Monticello’s business district, it’s easy to overlook while driving. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is seriously busy but efficient. The food is beyond amazing and that’s why it’s so incredibly busy. I had the spicy chicken platter and it was fantastic. My Daughter had soup with so many different flavors and textures, she was hooked. We will be frequent flyers from now on.

Just ordered beef barley soup——-99% beef broth, celery and carrots—-maybe 2 teaspoons of tiny beef pieces—-maybe 1 teaspoon of barley pearls—-nice taste but not worth the cost. ALSO, the spicy chicken platter with rice and vegetables, was more than 50% rice, 2 small sprigs of broccoli, and a somewhat decent amount of chicken pieces.

Great find on our way upstate! Quick, satisfying and delicious food at reasonable prices. We had the gyiza, bi bim bap with beef, and the pork bulgogi with fried rice. The pork was seasoned perfectly and well cooked, to maximize flavor.
