We tried Salt and Lime a few times, the food can be hit or miss, and you should only go during happy hour for the discount. The regular price definitely is not worth the quality of the tacos. The churros were just okay and were not good enough for the steep price.

There are better places in Steamboat to eat and we have stopped go to Salt and Lime.

We scored a table on the rooftop to enjoy the fall foliage while enjoying a great meal. From the cuatro quesos to the carne asado durango bowl we weren’t disappointed. Definitely not your typical Mexican meal. Everything was delicious with a unique twist that we will never forget! The service was great and the entire restaurant had a fun vibe. Highly recommend this place!!!

Lovely Mexican restaurant with some innovative twists. The 3 taco platter has a lot of savory options. Even the standard chips & salsa are better than average.

Location Location Location…awesome…we made a reservation and got our rooftop seating…for which they were given 1 more star…why….beautiful ski spots all around..food was mainly tacos…filled with cut vegetables and 2 peices of shrimp or fish as per order.
The aggressive not so friendly table attendant was anything but customer oriented.
The only person Raechel was very welcoming.
The dishes were picked up so quickly that was humiliating.
Only went because of the scenic rooftop…no value for money.

The chicken tinga and beef tacos are delicious. The potato bravas are good but need to be smaller potatoes to get that perfect taste. The sangria is good!

Tried the guacamole for an appetizer with the chips the flavor was great but the portion was pretty small. Tried three different tacos bison, bacon shrimp and carne asada.

Came in tonight after a mix-up with a reward redemption left me without the dessert I’d made the trip for. Jael went completely out of his way to make it right with a complimentary churro — no hesitation, no fuss, just genuine hospitality. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare and it turned my whole evening around. Steamboat is lucky to have people like Jael representing it. Will definitely be back. I highly recommend the Sin&Smoke cocktail!

The vibes in this restaurant are unmatched, 11/10. It was a Friday night, extremely busy. We did not know we needed to have reservations.
The manager somehow seated our party of 8 out of thin air.
From there, the rest of our evening felt like we were the most important people dining. The service, the entrees, the churros -flawless. Shout out to our server Kim. Our highest compliments go to the chef’s short ribs!!!
As a group – we agreed Salt & Lime is the best restaurant in Steamboat by long and far.
Yes the food is incredible, but the service was so good it was unreal. We had 4 children who are loud, messy, and picky. Kim engaged the kids in ordering their own food – my pickiest child loved it??? And us adults shared multiple pitchers of margaritas. At the end, the manager, Cami played with my daughter’s puzzle cube until they solved it together?? Come on.
Our experience was blissful – we really want Kim to know she was our favorite part of our Steamboat vacation!!
We can’t wait to come back!!!

Margaritas are excellent. The menu looks fantastic but the prices don’t match the quality. My small tacos had cold corn tortillas, probably microwaved for about 10 seconds to soften them up but definitely not cooked at all. My husband’s surf & turf burrito was about 50% rice. The service was fine, but we were there with a big group & asked at the beginning of the night if they do anything for birthdays and they offered a few options of surprises which we thought would be on the house. They ended up not bringing what we asked for the birthday and charging us for it, plus extra dipping sauce which we didn’t ask for. We would’ve ordered a different dessert had we known we were going to pay for it. unfortunate because we had a large group (12) and were already spending a lot. The churros were honestly disgusting and difficult to swallow. Overall disappointed because the menu looked really good.
