Only writing this because it is not the first time. I love it here but I love the avacado toast and The past few times I have gotten it. It is missing the chipotle, hot sauce, and chimichurri. I get it to go because I work in town so I don’t notice before I am already out of bakery. For $12 toast I would like the toppings expected on my toast.

This place was rockin when we came in. There were few people ahead of us and more piled in as we were standing in line. You’d think with the amount of busy this place was, the ordering process would be more transactional, but it was patient and friendly.

I don’t want to say the drinks were fancy, but it was an upscale coffee experience. The sandwiches were packed with flavor and just the right portion.

The scone wasn’t sweet at all. If I had it again, I might have had it with a slightly sweeter drink. The pop tart was perfect with a hot cup of black coffee.

Our seat against the wall was weirdly drafty and there was a point where so many people were waiting for to-go orders that they were towering over where we were sitting. Neither thing would stop us from coming back. As a matter of fact, we will be back. The food was too good and the menu is long not to have something else.

Street parking was free and easy. Spacious bathroom on site.

I’m biased towards small local cafes with a cozy vibe and this fit right in. The cappuccino was a bit strong/dark for my liking so I’ll try the regular drip one next time. Couple of vegetarian friendly choices to eat and parking was available despite being on a busy street.

This place is a gem! I’ve been all over New England and have tried many coffee shops. I thought this was by far one of the best I’ve had for true specialty coffee. I had the espresso and it had an amazing crema and great flavor. We also tried the pastries. My favorite was the strawberry pop tart. The pastry was made perfectly and had a wonderful tart and sweet flavor. We also tried the tea and I got another coffee as well it was so good. One nice thing is after we accidentally spilt my coffee they helped clean up and even offered to make me another coffee! This is a great spot for pastries, coffee, espresso and a meeting.

What a cute little gem! We were driving back from a hike when we decided to check out this cafe. We were impressed by the food menu and the vibe. There was a line of people ahead of us but it didn’t take too long to move. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. We had the Vegetable and Avacado wrap, coffee and BBQ beef brisket. Everything was delicious. I even bought a bag of coffee beans!

I stopped by after a morning workout and really enjoyed the coffee — it was delicious, and the café itself has a clean, cozy atmosphere. The staff was friendly and even offered to top off my mug when I mentioned my situation, which I appreciated.

My food did take over 30 minutes to arrive, and by then my coffee was nearly gone. I had hoped to enjoy them together, so that part of the experience was a little disappointing.

That said, I think a simple fix could make a big difference — if servers let customers know up front when the kitchen is running behind (especially on busy weekends), expectations would be clearer and the experience more enjoyable.

Fantastic food and beverages. I was sad that the Matcha and Peaflower latte I got did not come looking like the beautiful blue with green around it that others had (they said they mixed the two in. I recommend they don’t, as my main reason to buy this latte was the pretty appearance). It was okay taste-wise, not great. I would have gotten plain matcha if I had known it would look like plain matcha as that would have tasted better.

The Bundt cake was fabulous! Perfect texture, and even had a cream cheese filling too!

They have some gluten free options, and I love the mission and atmosphere!

They even have a kid-sized rocking chair!!! So cute.

And, for those who need, it is fully nut free!

Love everything about Salt & Light! They have so many delicious options to choose from for breakfast and lunch food, and their coffee is my favorite in the area! The iced maple latte is especially tasty! Also great atmosphere and the staff is always so friendly.

We stopped for breakfast. The sandwiches (sausage/egg/cheese on bagel; egg/cheese on sourdough) ere excellent. The pastry was so-so. (It could be because it wasn’t fresh.)
The LATTEs were HORRIBLE. We ordered them hot. Both were luke warm. They were very bitter. (The bill came to $35, which included a 5% maintenance fee. ???)
Blackbird cafe down the street is much better.

The brisket sandwich was particularly tasty as were the assorted pastries. But the biggest surprise was that it is completely nut-free! My daughter never eats at bakeries because they so often work with nuts and her allergies are severe. We went the day after Christmas and it was like a Christmas miracle for her. Thank you!
