Stopped in at this Irish pub after arriving from upstate New York, at the recommendation of a local and it was a fantastic choice! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was great from the moment we walked through the door.

The food did not disappoint—those Southwest chicken egg rolls were awesome! I also had the Turkey BLT wrap with tots, and everything was fresh and delicious. Even with three meals, the wait time was short, which was a nice bonus.

Overall, a great spot with good food, friendly service, and a cozy vibe. Definitely worth a visit!

Pleasantly surprised with the Salt Hill pub! Visiting Newport for a night and just needed somewhere to eat. I was thrown off by a few of their existing Google photos. The pub was aesthetically pleasing, clean, well decorated and the service was great! Huge portion sizes. Would go again! Shout out to the bangers & mash and peanut butter pie. Thanks

Excellent meal tonight. My 1/2 rack BBQ Ribs and Ann Plante ‘s Firehouse Prime Rib sandwich. The ribs were so meaty and her prime rib was so flavorful. Thanks Kate and staff for a great experience! The potato salad and Mac & cheese were homemade and tasted like it.

Got take out. When you have been eating healthy and decide to order burgers, you get a little excited. Ordered 2 burgers, the Jake and the Firehouse. It appears that Salt Hill now uses pre-made burgers patties, frozen, flavorless and unseasoned. This was very disappointing. No longer is this a juicy drip down the corner of your mouth treat. The half of a little piece of wilted lettuce was a nice touch to boot. The egg for the other burger looked really well cooked as well. So, not sure I’ll be using my gift certificate I got to return.

Working on the same street stopped in for lunch was so good. On my first visit, I ordered the burger with fried egg and bacon delicious. Went back again, tried the fish, and chips were great. I will be going back.
Both times went upstairs to the bar where the service was great

Was lucky enough to be going through town on St Patrick’s day. My son and I both got the fish and chips and it was amazing! Don’t usually get fish that good without going to the seacoast. Good size serving and more fries than I could eat and the coleslaw was very good also. Service was excellent for as busy as they were. Price was decent for the quality of the meal.

Decent place in downtime newport. There is also one located by mt. Sunapee. It was a good menu and lots of Irish dishes. I sat upstairs in the bar area. Its a large bar in the middle.of the room and some tables around the edge. I was there on a Friday evening and they had some live music. Drinks are good a reasonable priced. I got the fish and chips.it was a large price of fish with a wonderful golden brown crispy outside. It came with coleslaw amd friesh. The coleslaw was light and good. Fries seemed to be your typical frozen fries from a bag, but I could be wrong. Newport doesn’t have a lot of evening dining options s but this one is good.

Had a so so Reuben sandwich. A Smithwicks is always a good choice.

Great pub fare in a casual atmosphere. The waitress was super friendly and accommodating even though she was new. We very much enjoyed the pulled pork nachos covered with melted cheese with salsa and sour cream on the side. Hubby got bangers and mash which he enjoyed and I had an order of Buffalo wings that were tasty. The only downside to our visit was the cost of the draft beer which was $10.00. We all thought this was a little high.
