So glad we tried Salt Face Mule Brewing. Don’t live very close, but it is a destination place for sure. Will be back for the delicious food and drinks. Couldn’t stop eating the creole pasta and the chicken tenders were perfect. Great dipping sauces too!

This was such a cool find on a visit to Asheville!! We stayed in a cabin up the mountains and just happened to drive past Salt Faced Mule. When I looked at the menu online I was SO excited to try it for dinner.
Food was great. The brisket wontons and fried pickles were great but the chicken pot pie soup seriously stole the show. SO freaking delicious, and the fried biscuits were a great addition. My husband’s bbq mac & cheese was also fantastic.
We did a beer flight and a seltzer flight. The pear and cinnamon apple seltzers were my absolute favorite. Little bummed out that we couldn’t get any to take home but that’s my only complaint!
Good spot for the dogs to hang out with us and if we’d had more friends along we probably would have tested out the mini golf too.

We are in town from the Charlotte area for my husband’s birthday weekend. One of our primary goals when traveling is always to try unique, new foods. Last night was our first night, & SFM was a great first dinner to get that party started. He had the Buns of Anarchy burger, & it had some wintery flavor spice that neither of us could pinpoint. It wasn’t like any flavor I’ve had on a burger before, but it really was incredible. If y’all want to reply & tell me the secret spice, I won’t be upset lol! I had the Creole Chicken Pasta & LAWD that plate was thiccckkk. I couldn’t tell at first how much grilled chicken & sausage was buried in there, but I swear it just kept coming. I’m a lover of Cajun flavors, & they definitely nailed it for me. The hostess & bartenders were especially friendly, & the prices were damn good. We absolutely recommend checking them out.

Went to Ashville for a trip and found this local brewery which has a solid beer offering and unusually great food for a brewery.
Portions were large and the food was very good. We had the Brisket Mac & Cheese and the Steak Hoagie w the Au Jus. Both were fresh and flavorful. The food quality was worth the price (which was reasonable). The Meatloaf looked really good at several tables although we didn’t have it.
Beer menu offered a variety of styles including 4 IPA and a personal favorite “Can I Pet That Dawg” Czech Dark Lager. Each of the beers was unique and really hit on all the styles. Beer flights are always a plus at breweries and they offered them.
Frankly I would go back routinely if I was a local. Resturant was clean and beer and food were solid.

In Asheville to see the Dambo Trolls before they leave. Decided to have the Monday Night Special at Salt Face Brewing. Double Smashburger and a beer! Outstanding portion size, fresh and great service! Al. Servers were so polite and friendly! Met the Manager Kyle and chatted with him for a bit. So warm and welcoming! If you have the opportunity check them out!

Excellent meal at Salt Face Mule Brewing Co. Burgers, shrimp and grits, pretzel bites, and beverages. We absolutely loved our recent visit. I must start with the pretzel bites. WOW! Top tier. Crispy outside, soft and warm on the inside. Perfect amount of salt. Are they lightly buttered?! Oh my gosh so good. I loved the smoked Gouda cheese dipping sauce and my girl loved the honey mustard dipping sauce. Such a good starter. The burger was juicy and flavorful. The toppings were generous and created the perfect balance for taste bud stimulation. Onion straws, bbq sauce, smoked jalapeño cheddar cheese. The love of my life enjoyed the shrimp and grits and her beverage, grapefruit jalapeño ranch water. The vibe is great. TV’s with sports all over. Quick, counter order service. Thank you, for a real good time!

So much food. Plates and sides are huge. More than enough for 2. Everything is on the spicy side. Brisket wontons are yummy. Brussels sprouts are delicious and the Cajun chicken pasta is great but spicy. Hubby loved the beer. But we had enough for a meal the next day. Recommend.

Thank you so much for your gluten free options! Our daughter with Celiac Disease loved the wings and fries, yum!! Your dedicated GF fryer is truly appreciated as it accommodates true food allergy! Everything else we ordered was delicious, especially the brisket Mac and cheese. Thanks again!

Ultimately went with 5 stars. The day we went out was FREEZING in the restaurant. I don’t mean it was a little cooler than I would like, I mean it was MAYBE 55 DEGREES in the place. I feel like it was a fluke though, so I’m inclined to give the benefit of the doubt. I dinged the service only slightly, because the counter service bartender want printing tickets for themselves, and as such was a bit forgetful of beers and to whom they were taking them. Otherwise, the service was excellent.
The food was excellent. We had a salad, brisket nachos, and the buffalo wrap. All we’re quite good. The fries were a hair cold, but I suspect that was a fluke as well.
Worth going to, just dress warmly if it’s the winter.
