An absolute gem!
We came here for the first time, not quite sure what to expect.
But everything turned out to be way beyond our expectations! The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were massive — honestly, one dish could feed three people.
We’re truly impressed and very happy with our experience.
A special thank you to our server Carlos — he was incredibly attentive. He seemed a little nervous, but he did a wonderful job, and we wish him all the very best!
This place is a true find. We’ll definitely be back.

Phenomenal food!! My friend and I shared the Jerk Chicken El Salvador and we still had food to bring home because of the large portions. The smoked salsa was delicious and the staff was super. Some of the best food I have eaten in years! Will return again.

Had lunch here today and it was delicious. The portions are definitely generous. We had the steak fajitas and the OG Burrito – the only thing we did not like were the shrimp in the burrito tasted odd, I couldn’t eat more than one.
Everything else was spot on and service/atmosphere were perfect.

Their food is delicious and different from typical Mexican food. It’s Latin American with a touch of culinary fusion. The steak Fajita, steak burrito and Chicken Chorizo Enchilada were all very tasty. Margharita special was only $5. We will be back again.

Top tier dishes and drinks for such a small place. Very easy to overlook, but definitely worth it. Coffee roasted pork. Unique salsas. South American seafood dishes with very fresh ingredients. I would recommend Salsas to anyone visiting Asheville for delicious food at reasonable prices.

My wife and I have frequented Salsa’s (as well as their sister restaurant Modesto) several times over the past few years. The food is usually fantastic though the atmosphere is crowded and the staff turn over is rather worrisome. Nonetheless, the main reason for this review is aimed at the disappointment my wife and I had in the staff (or manager) of Salsa’s on Valentine’s day of this year (2026). My wife and I entered the restaurant and quickly noticed a few tables were available at roughly 6:45-7pm. Upon entering a host advised us that he would clean off a table and we could be seated. Thought we were lucky! He quickly cleaned it off then disappeared to the back of the restaurant. My wife and I sat down as instructed and a couple that came in after us was promptly seated by another host (or waiter) as well. Shortly after, I assume the manager, informed my wife and I that we would have to vacate our seats. She asked who seated us and I advised her that a gentleman had offered us a seat when we entered the restaurant. She then proceeded to tell us that for that night only reservations were required (afterwards we noticed that there was no sign on the door indicating this nor was it on the Salsas website or Facebook page) and that they were essentially full. Her attitude was both unprofessional and condescending. In no way did she try to take ownership of the mistake and at least make some sort of amends. Very embarrassing to say the least as we felt we weren’t in the wrong. So, instead of making a scene I simply placed the menus (that were given to us by the host who sat us down) on a table and promptly left. Do better Salsa’s…simply do better. Greatly disappointed in how we were treated.

We got the El Salvadorian jerk chicken and it was so amazing and so flavorful, probably the best food I’ve had at a restaurant this year! The staff was so sweet and so on it! I’m only an hour and half away and will definitely be back soon!

One of our favorite stops when we come to Asheville. The food is always awesome and today did not disappoint with the food, but the service was so slow. The waitress we had was not great though she said she was fairly new so maybe she just needs some time. Shrimp ceviche was the best I’ve had in a long time!

Everything was super fresh and delicious. They offer corn based tortillas which is a huge plus for me. We got the fish of the day tacos which happened to be salmon. Each entree is plenty of food to share. The little one got a cheese quesadilla with a side of rice and beans. The guac was super fresh and accompanied by home made tortilla chips. A definite must try if visiting this neat little town.
