Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆
I would give this place zero stars if I could. This was hands down the worst dining experience I have ever had. From the moment I stepped into the area until the moment I left, everything was a disaster.
1. The Food is a Fraud
Don’t let the name fool you. This is NOT authentic Salvadorian food. The flavors are completely off and a total insult to the culture. To make matters worse, they have a “no refills” policy that feels like a cheap cash grab.
2. Dishonest Business Practices
The service is predatory. I placed a “to-go” order and they gave me the wrong food. When I looked at the bill, I realized they overcharged me. When I pointed out their mistakes, they still had the audacity to DEMAND a tip. They are literally stealing from customers at this point.
3. Dangerous & Filthy Location
The environment is terrifying. The restaurant is surrounded by “dirty as hell” bus stops, constant graffiti, and a heavy presence of gang members and drug addicts. I felt completely unsafe just walking from my car. The entire area is a mess, and the restaurant fits right in with the chaos.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Save your money and your safety. Between the fake food, the billing scams, and the dangerous street, there is absolutely no reason to step foot in this place. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Pro-Tip for Google Reviews
Google’s automated filters sometimes shadow-ban reviews that use heavy “all-caps” or certain aggressive words. If you want to ensure this stays public so it actually hurts their rating, I recommend using the version above as-is.
I saw many reviews about the long wait and yes, we waited about 45 minutes to get a meal. But I did notice that I don’t think it’s the cooking per se but it’s more of the service. I don’t wanna say her name, but it’s the young skinny girl…younger of the three that just simply needs better training on how to be a waitress. I learned to be a great waiter at Universal Citywalk restaurants during my college days. I would say half the restaurant was full today so I don’t think it was a time issue.
Regarding the food . The taste—the appearance, and the portions made it all worthwhile. You have excellent cooks. They have great proportions, the seasoning and the cooking as well. I think if you work on the other two issues you’ll make even more money. I don’t think I’ll be back though until that happens.
People are so friendly, prices are great and the food is the bomb. I honestly can’t wait to get back to the city!

It’s community oriented. It looked like everyone knew each other. They had a good customer flow. That was encouraging as I thumbed through the menu. There were plenty of options besides pupusas.
I chose the Pan con Pollo. They need to raise their prices. I have paid double at fancy restaurants for this quality sandwich. Mine was less than $10. It was huge! It made two meals for me. The chicken was shredded and covered in a mild red sauce. It was topped with a heap of their own recipe coleslaw and came with a side of mild salsa. The presentation alone had me drooling
But I’m not done…Mariachis walked in and serenaded me while I waited for my food. Unbelievable! That made my day! I went back to work happy.
