Our waitress approached us in a timely manner and remained attentive throughout our time there. Our food also arrived in a timely manner despite the place being packed to capacity.
We had 11 people in our party so we ordered the Family Meal Plan, Crawfish Hookup, Seafood Basket, Gator Bites, And Boudin Eggrolls….Gator bites were uncooked so we had to send them back. The boudin eggrolls were just okay, nothing impressive. I think they should stick to boiled food only…the crawfish were kind of small but that can be expected at this time of year. The crawfish were flavorful however the spicy was more like mild. I wish I would have gotten the extra spicy…all of the boiled seafood was pretty good, the seasoning and remoulade sauce were also a great addition.
Overall it was a good experience. The main complaint was for the fried gator bites and the spicy flavor not really being spicy.
If you’re cruising down I-10 east of Baytown and Mont Belvieu, pull over right now. Seriously. We hit up Crawfish Hideaway off Market 565, and it is easily the best crustacean find of the season! ✨
The Main Event: The “Shrimp Hookup”
We went big and ordered the Shrimp Hookup, and let me tell you, they do not skrimp!- no pun intended. It’s supposed to be 6lbs of crawfish, but it looked (and felt) like way more. We also got:
16 Juicy Shrimp
1 Snap-worthy Sausage Link
2 Corns & 2 Potatoes
The Add-ons: We threw in 2 boiled eggs and a massive scoop of mushrooms because… why not?
Everything was seasoned to perfection—spicy, savory, and cooked perfectly. The crawfish were easy to peel and soaked up all that glorious flavor. If you want that extra juice, suck them heads and wash it down with your favorite adult beverage – oh, yeah its BYOB ️
The Supporting Cast
Don’t sleep on the starters! We kicked things off with the Boudin Eggrolls. They were ultra-crispy on the outside and packed with flavor on the inside. Total 10/10 appetizer.
The Grand Finale
You absolutely cannot leave without trying their Famous Banana Pudding. It’s topped with crumbled pecan wafers that add the perfect crunch. Boy o boy, it was the sweet, creamy ending we needed.
Pro Tip: If you’re looking for a spot that’s fun, laid back, and serves up massive portions of flavor, this is it. We’ll definitely be back for another hookup!
The restrooms were somewhat clean.
So I ordered Alligator bites and they were very good and gumbo to.
Loved them!!!
About the gumbo don’t waste your time. I’ll leave it at that you get my drift
I had to send it back and the waitress or maybe she was the manager I’m not so sure.
She tried to give me a little bit of a problem because I sent it back.
I then opted for the boudin balls to see how they would taste.
I haven’t got them yet I pray they are good.
They were good.
The place is packed out so people love it here. So it would be a place for the family.
Even the outside seating is limited.
Overall it wasn’t a bad experience.
I might give them another try in the future.
I just wanted some good gumbo that is what brought me here.
I’ll keep trying.
I always make sure to get extra remoulade for the shrimp and crawfish!
