Did a delivery for a coworker dinner, the pizza was delivered correctly, and it was delicious, all 6 of us enjoyed it very much, and we will order from Sal’s again.

Enormous slices of fulfilling pizza.
Finally checked out the Sal’s near my office for lunch the other day, and gotta say I was not disappointed as a hungry soul!
It was a two-person shop, with a lady at the front and a guy in the back, constantly stretching doughs. The lady is typical of Boston who you can say is not nice but is kind. They work efficiently, but that’s just two people manning the shop and making fresh pizzas to order, so bring some patience to wait for your hot oven-baked.
As a woman I just ordered one slice and a Greek salad. The salad was ordinary but fresh, but the pizza, oh boy, see the pictures yourself! It’s Sweet Chili Steak, the second favorite of the cashier’s because her most favorite was out, and this pizza will make you feel like a boss during a mundane workday lunch even eaten in front of your computer screens!
I can’t wait to go back on another hungry day and try the cashier’s favorite flavor.
And did I mention that by “one slice” they actually meant two!

I went in here for lunch when I walked in The African-American gentleman that was working, was a rapping some lyrics to a song at the top of his lungs. He waited until he was done to acknowledge me and asked me if I needed help as I stood there for 2min at the counter to place my order . I then asked for bruschetta pizza. He said he didn’t have any. I asked for the steak and cheese personal calzone he says no I didn’t make any steak .He seemed like he didn’t want to work , anyways I asked for the chicken Parm calzone and I’m watching him put it together poorly. There’s barely any chicken in it and the bread is soggy from the sauce that was drenched in it. Very unpleasant for the amount of money I paid.

I ordered 3 Large Cheese pies for Pick-up yesterday. This was my 1st Sal’s experience and it was good one. The smell was immediately inviting & reminded me of the No-Name pizza shops of my Brooklyn childhood. The two gentlemen, JT and Jamal, were incredibly nice, attentive, and accommodating. The MBTA ran smoothly and I arrived 45 minutes earlier than my designated time. In my defense, who the hell expects this? I would have definitely understood if I had to wait but they jumped into action. It is important to note: I watched their interactions with other customers and the consistency in their kindness was next level. They were not just there, they showed up! It is a cozy space with breakfast bars if one decides to eat in, which is why I gave a three for atmosphere. My order was for Roommates’ dinner so it was basic, but I plan to return and try other items. My house enjoyed the pies, though, as gauged by the silence once I put them out! Thanks for a great 1st impression, guys! You have set a standard for the chain.

If I could leave zero stars I would. After placing an order online to be delivered, we waited an hour (we live about a 3-minute walk from Sal’s) before we received a curt text that our order had been cancelled because the Doordash driver “had an issue”. When we called to find out what the problem was, we were simply told the driver “probably just kept the food”. No apology. No offer to make a replacement pizza. Never again will we be tempted to order from this place!

I went with four other friends around closing time and they went out of their way to make us an amazing fresh pizza. It was so good. They were so kind about it as well and very patient. They let us eat in peace even as they closed up and it was overall just a great place to be!

Really impressed with the selection and size of pizza slices. $9 a slice but one slice is the size of two, and the pizza was SO tasty! I’m from NY and very picky about my pizza, and this was like NY pizza!!!
