Came to Sal’s Neighborhood Pizzeria and had a great experience. We ordered the mozzarella cheese sticks and the margherita pizza both were fresh and hit the spot. The tiramisu cake was absolutely out of this world, easily a highlight of the meal.

Staff was friendly, welcoming, and on point. Funny side note: someone was hogging the restroom, so while waiting, I ended up having a full 10-minute conversation with a local older gentleman who basically interviewed me and now knows my whole life story . Super nice guy though wished me a Happy New Year, which honestly added to the neighborhood charm of the place.

Good food, good people, and great vibes. Definitely coming back. ✨Also try the Ranch Sauce for sure.

I went to Sal’s neighborhood Pizzeria. It’s located on St. Simons Island near the Harris Teeter at 3415 Frederica Rd, Saint Simons Island, GA 31522. I went on a Tuesday at around 5:30pm. I ordered a coke and Chicken Marsala for dinner. The chicken marsala was seasoned perfectly and has a creamy and slightly sweet taste. I got regular spaghetti with it and the sauce with the spaghetti was such a great combo. For dessert I got a slice of the Italian lemon cream cake, it was moist and the cream in it was rich in lemon flavor but not too overbearing.
The location is not the easiest to find, I had a little trouble with my GPS finding the parking lot. It may also confuse some people that you have to walk through a walkway between the buildings in the parking lot to get there. The surrounding neighborhood is very nice which is expected on St. Simon’s island. There was lots of traffic since I left at 4:50 to get to Sals. The outside of the building has shrubs against the screened in outside eating area. There’s the entrance door and a sign pointing to the other side of the building if you wanted to order something to go.
They played a lot of Frank Sinatra which gives me nostalgic feeling of being back home in New York. The lighting is not bright, the lights are dimmed. There’s a lot of pictures hanging up of boxers and famous people, people in Italy. Also paintings on the wall of Italian buildings. I’d say this place attracts all kinds of people. Young people on a date, young men and women who want to grab a drink, Older couples and families. Seems like a very family oriented place. I had a family offer me a slice of their own pizza while I was waiting for my food which was so incredibly sweet of them.
The menu is moderately priced considering it’s an Italian restaurant. They have appetizers labeled as “Antipasta” which if you didn’t know is Italian for appetizers. They have quite a selection to choose from including Homemade Bruschetta, fried ravioli, garlic or cheese bread on focaccia, chicken wings, etc. They have different salads to choose from a house, Caesar, Greek, or Caprese Salad. You can add protein or pick different dressings or cheeses you want with it. There are Sub Sandwiches that are a great lunch option served with a side of chips, tater tots, fries or onion rings. They have a pasta section including Pomodoro with a choice of pasta, Cheese, Meat, Spinach, or Lobster Ravioli. Also Baked Ziti, etc. For entrees you will find Chicken or eggplant parmigiana, Meat Lasagna, or seared salmon with broccoli or creamy risotto, etc. For a regular 14” pie it’s $16.45. A slice is $5.75 and each topping is .75 cents. The bill including tip was $48.98 . It is not a dress up place, I’d say, very casual unless you’d like to dress up a little bit.
The staff were incredibly friendly and my waitress very helpful with any questions I had on the different items on the menu. She was willing to answer any questions about the menu. The service was not that quick because everything is made from scratch. From observing other people ordering pizza, it takes about 10-15 minutes to get a whole pizza.
To be fair, considering I grew up in New York and went to authentic Italian restaurants and pizza shops my whole life this place has a decent menu selection. They have
Their hours are closed Monday, Tuesday through Thursday 4:30pm – 9:00. Friday and Saturday 11:00-2:00 and 4:30-9:30, and Sunday 4:30-9:00. Overall if you’re looking a quick bite or nice family dinner night out, Sal’s is the place to go!

Couldn’t Stop Going Back!

Sal’s Neighborhood Pizzeria serves some of the best New York style thin-crust pizza I’ve ever had. The crust is soft but with a oven-baked richness, and the cheese and toppings merge together beautifully (whether good old fashioned cheese or a specialty pizza like their “Meaty Treaty,” you can’t go wrong). Don’t overlook the entrees! The Baked Ziti is to die for. I don’t know what magic they put in their house made sauce blend but it keeps me coming back for more. End things off with a delicious dessert (Italian Lemon Cake was fabulous!). The interior is a bit tight, but they also have outdoor seating available. It’s a must-eat spot at St. Simon’s!

Awesome pizza! Ordered the deluxe, lovely crust, very tasty sauce, and perfect amount of ingredients. Ordered a medium with fed 3 gals. We each had side salads. Greek was great. Cozy environment with lots of family history.

Had a good experience at this pizza spot! It’s tucked away, and you can’t really see it from the road or the parking lot, which sort of gives it a “hole in the wall” local feel. The pizza was filling and tasted great. I also highly recommend the bourbon wings! The only bad part was that the bus boy/waiter or guy who cleaned up our dishes kept giving us dirty looks and acted extremely irritated for some reason. Other than that, it was a great local
Pizza/wings spot! There is not much room inside at all, so don’t bring a large party with you. Definitely cram packed in there. But again, cool little vibe. I’d go again for sure!

Sal’s was great! I ordered the lasagna, which was very good and had a nice, robust tomato sauce. The breadstick on the side was nice with the sauce and had hints of rosemary. I also tried the Marshal (white) pizza and it was good as well. However, the standout was definitely the cheese pizza. It had deliciously salty cheese and great chewy crust. I really enjoyed this pizza and would love to have it again!

Sals is the place to go on Saint Simon’s to satisfy your pizza craving after a Long Beach day! They open late in the afternoon but it is worth the wait if you like thin crust pizza. They are extremely generous on their meat pizza and the sauce is great!

A very warm and welcoming family-friendly atmosphere, whether your stopping by the bar for a drink or two after work or want a full course meal with the family. The staff are so attentive and the food is beyond amazing. Get the Honey BBQ wings; you won’t be disappointed, . Slightly spicy with BBQ at just the right sweetness. We had a Christmas dinner party tonight with some friends and it was a wonderful experience overall. Normally around the holidays if we do decide to wait out a long line or book a reservation we still feel semi rushed as we order and eat our food due to the fast-paced nature of today’s world. Tonight we ate at our own pace, chit chatted, took pictures, and just got to enjoy each other’s company. Thanks Again Sal’s
