A friend wanted to go here for Detroit style pizza: square not round, and typically thicker. The pizza slices in the cases up front were a bit limp n picked over. We went for a grandmas pizza and had it made to order. I agree that the ingredients were fresh, with a light sauce and basil leaves. We added chicken. You could also add ham, sausage, and many non protein options. While the end result was indeed square, it was not as thick as anticipated. Very tasty. We also had salads that came out in plastic to go boxes. $7.50 I believe for about 50 cents worth of lettuce and croutons. I must comment that the place was dirty and the floors needed to be cleaned. There was a pool of water on the floor in front of the restroom. It got cleaned up but left a bad impression. Very odd that an Italian pizza place was playing loud Hispanic music.

Consistently great pizza. Pepperoni, feta, and spinach all cooked perfectly with crispy edges. 4 of use could eat with leftovers. No worry about the wait because they make it fresh.
10/10 would recommend

This is the blessing. Sauce, ingredients and cheese everything is housemade and this team puts in a lot of work. First time in 30 years of my life I am eating the crust as well and I enjoy it like a toast. Glad to have a deep relationship with this business. Kudos Ladies and Gentlemen

This is by far my favorite pizza place. The slices are giant and delicious! I have been coming here for years and it’s always amazing.

I hate to leave negative reviews, but I also believe that honest feedback can help establishments improve. I truly hope these comments are taken as constructive pointers to adjust and elevate the quality of service and food.

While the staff provided very pleasant and attentive service, unfortunately this did not match the quality of the food. The salad was disappointing: the dressing tasted watered down, and the olive oil seemed like a poor imitation of extra virgin olive oil. Additionally, the lettuce appeared to have been soaked in water and not properly drained. Between the excess moisture and the diluted dressing, it was difficult to find any real flavor in the salad.

The pizza was equally underwhelming. The crust was burnt and overly tough around the edges, yet soggy in the center. The sauce lacked flavor, and the mozzarella was barely noticeable, which greatly affected the overall balance and taste.

Lastly, the ambiance significantly impacted our dining experience. A woman seated at the table behind us, who appeared to be either an owner or staff member due to the presence of paperwork and a printer, was watching videos on her phone at full volume. On top of that, we were seated directly under a speaker playing loud music. The combined noise level was far beyond what is acceptable for a comfortable dining environment.

I genuinely hope management takes this feedback seriously, as this place has potential to offer a much better overall experience with some necessary improvements.

I was so excited to try this place, and I was severely disappointed. When we walked in, they were blasting Spanish music really loudly and the dining area was pretty small. Not the vibes I was expecting from a pizzeria. First, the lady was nice, but the service was lacking. We waited for 20-30 minutes for our pizza which would’ve been understandable if 1) she had told us a wait time or something and 2), she hadn’t given pizza to the people who ordered AFTER us (before we ever got ours). We asked for the pizzas we ordered in boxes so we could take it home, but they didn’t and told us to grab a pizza box ourselves when we were done. Most importantly, I ordered the tri color grandma pizza and the chicken bacon ranch pizza. She got the order wrong so we ended up with a regular grandma pizza and that came out first. When the pizza came out, she told us the second would be coming soon. We waited another 10 minutes at least with no sight of the second pizza. She came back over and let us know that the cook had made the wrong order. No apology, no offer of the pizza or app or drink as compensation for the mistake. She just told us it was wrong and trailed off. I told her ok… we can wait for the correct one? Still no apology, but she just said okay and smiled. Again, she was not rude, but the service was terrible. We had to wait over 20 minutes again for the second pizza to come out and for it to be correct. It wasn’t even good. The grandma pizza was okay, but not great. The chicken bacon ranch Detroit style was lacking in toppings and was mostly crust. Was really excited but left disappointed.

TLDR: After spending over an hour in this restaurant, I would have expected much higher quality service and food. Very disappointed and won’t be going back

Five stars. O4W Pizza in Downtown Duluth is consistently excellent. I’ve taken two dates there over the last several months and always order the meat lover’s pizza—it’s outstanding every time. Easily one of my favorite pizza spots. Bonus points for the location being right across from The District, which makes it incredibly convenient.

The pizza was so fresh and yet still very fast. Very yummy and had a great lunch here. It was during the week so it was mostly empty and we had the place to ourselves. We customized a veggie pizza and loved the oregano herb mix they sprinkled on it all. We also had the cheesecake which was pretty good. Only downside was they had the doors open and there were a lot of flies. Definitely gave you that 20th century neighborhood pizza place vibes. But also a bit annoying.

They have a variety of slices to-go here which is nice. You can’t get that at other local pizzarias. The place and floors look a bit dirty inside. We sat outside. The outdoor rectangular tables surfaces are old and worn.
Service is confusing here. One guy who makes pizza asked me what I wanted, told him my pizza order, then was about to add something else to it but he looked away and started working the dough. Then the cashier asked me what I ordered. Who am I ordering from here? I ordered a large sausage pizza and a soda, and the male cashier who rang me up didn’t give me a cup. I had to ask him for it. Didn’t see tops for cup. Pizza tasted good. I threw up the night I ate this pizza but not sure whether it was due to food here or some ice cream I ate afterwards. I did just read their September 2024 food inspection report which showed that they had mozzarella cheese and sausage dated older than 7 days. Makes me reconsider coming here again.
