I came in during lunch on a Tuesday and they offer a great lunch menu. You order at the counter, pay and they provide you with your number. You are able to sit in any of the two sides of the restaurant. They offer outdoor seating but it appears it’s for larger parties. The tables are long.

I order the lunch combo: 1 cheese slice, 6 garlic knots and drink for $10.88 after tax. The staff brought my pizza slice and informed me my garlic knots would be out soon since they were making a fresh batch. The marinara sauce was missing some salt but they had table salt so that was an easy fix. My food was hot, I enjoyed the food and felt the combo was a good portion.

Great food, great atmosphere, Sal always comes by the table and makes you feel at home. Joey in the bar is an excellent server/bar tender. He knows the menu and can help with all your dining needs.

Casual, fun, friendly and great food.
This is the pizza I’ve been looking for!
Some say they have New York style pizza, but they really don’t. Sal’s Gilbert Pizza really does though! Large, thin, very savory with a true New York style, feel, taste and texture.
I loved it!
Pretty good bartender too, and nice.

Phenomenal pizza… you’ll keep ordering even though you’re feeling full. Brought dessert home and enjoyed that too. We will definitely be back with friends who come into town craving pizza.

Sal’s Gilbert Pizza really hit the spot! The mozzarella sticks were breaded to perfection and paired perfectly with the marinara. For pizza, I tried the Pepperoni, Baked Ziti, Tricolore, White Pizza, and Meat Lovers — each one was delicious in its own way. The Tricolore was so unique I had to try it, and the Meat Lovers was a must for me. The slices are generous in size, making it hard to choose a favorite.

The restaurant itself has a clean, inviting, family-friendly atmosphere with lots of natural light, which I really appreciated. Overall, this is a solid spot for great New York–style pizza in Gilbert, and I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

Best Pizza in Arizona. Baked Ziti is a must! The people are amazing and the atmosphere is welcoming. You won’t be disappointed

One of the worst slices of cheese pizza in Arizona. It was undercooked, the sauce was not tasty and the pizza flopped like the NY giants.
Being from NY, trust me, get something else here. The Sicilian slice was a bit better, but something wrong with the sauce they use. Lunch “special” is $11. Not so special.

This place was amazing but what really blew our minds, was the garlic knots! Holy cow they have heavenly butter pockets! Just do yourself a favor and get them!!! The pizza and fried ravioli was delicious too! We need to make this a monthly trip from Tucson! The staff was also very helpful and funny in helping us decide what we wanted to eat. It was a great time out.

Seven of us came in and we didn’t mess around we ordered half the menu. I had the rice balls (perfect, crispy outside, soft inside), and I’ve had the cheese manicotti before always on point. Around the table we had spaghetti and meatballs, baked ziti, and clams over angel hair pasta the works. Nobody left a crumb.

This isn’t my first time at Sal’s and it won’t be my last. I’ve been coming here since I moved here from NYC. I’m from New York City, and let me tell you something finding a real New York slice in Phoenix isn’t easy. Sal’s is the real deal. The crust, the sauce, the fold it’s right.

Sal himself? Hard-working guy. You can taste when someone cares about what comes out of that oven.

And the waitress yesterday I’m sorry I don’t remember her name she was fantastic. On top of everything, friendly, patient with seven of us ordering like we hadn’t eaten in a week.

If you want real New York pizza in Arizona, this is the spot.

Came on a Saturday evening. It was really busy. It took about 35 minutes to seat us. We got baked ziti and stuffed shells. For me the baked ziti was okay. I was surprised the baked ziti does not come with a meat sauce. So I had to add two meatballs to my meal to make it taste what I like. We also got garlic knots and two sodas. That came out to $61.66. it’s a little bit pricey. I do feel there is room for improvement. As the food seemed to be just slightly better than average.
