We heard great things about this place so we decided to check it out for ourselves. Walked in there was a pretty good line in front of us. Line went pretty fast. Ordered the Fried Chicken, Collards, and Rice & Gravy. Hubby ordered Fried Chicken, Stuffing and Mac n’ Cheese. We decided to bring it home and everything was still piping hot. Chicken was light and perfectly seasoned and cooked. No canned collards here! Absolutely awesome. Hubby was trying to figure out the “special” seasoning in the dressing. He ate the whole thing and still couldn’t figure out what made it taste so good. Large portions for your enjoyment. If you haven’t tried this place, I highly recommend you do. You won’t be disappointed.

Stopped in for the first time today for lunch, which I got to go. Even after a 15 minute car ride, the chicken was still hot, crispy and delicious! This place is your quintessential hole in the wall soul/southern food restaurant and well worth a visit!

Delicious and fulfilling soul food! I’ve gone at least three different times and tried several options. I have always enjoyed my food. Sometimes I like specific sides more than others. Collard Greens have a good taste. Butter beans were a little sweet for my liking, but nothing a little hot sauce can’t heal! Candied yams were delicious and not too sweet. The service is good and they have desserts too! We even ordered catering for Thanksgiving. I appreciate the ordering process for catering and everything was handled very professionally. Hope this business continues to thrive!

I was invited to try this place and I am so glad about it. The food was seasoned perfectly. Most places just season chicken and fry it. You can tell this was brined so that it was flavorful throughout, not just the crust. The green beans and black eye peas were great, but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the sweet tea….OMG! I’m going to ask for the secret ingredient, although I’m sure they won’t give it away. I’ll just say, PLEASE try it for yourself.
UPDATE: I’ve been going to this restaurant for 5 months now. And the food and service only gets better with each visit. I just have to come and update this to give it all 5 stars. Well deserved!!!

This restaurant is AMAZING!! The customer service was great and the food was fantastic!! I am shocked I didn’t know about them earlier! They are definitely worth it!! Im a head over hill for this place! I had the baked chicken, dressing, mac and cheese, yams!!!

It’s like I died and went to waffle heaven. I’m wondering if they are just pressing honey buns into a waffle? Because that’s what it tastes like. The chicken is perfect. The Mac n cheese is heavy on the cheese, just as it should be. Service was awesome.

Over priced for what you get. I paid for $12.09 two chicken legs (no other chicken pieces options), as small spoon of cabbage, a small spoon of squash casserole, an corn muffin and a sweet tea. The location was neat and cle and definitely has potential, however I believe in getting my money’s worth.

This was my first time here, I got fried chicken, cabbage , mac and cheese and a red velvet cupcake. The cabbage and Mac was okay, but the chicken was black I had to wait until it finished cooking so I’m thinking it’s going to be fresh which it was the oil in the fryers needed to be changed, the cornbread tasted like paste and the cupcake was very disappointing. Wasted $19.50 and won’t be back
