Nice little cottage right at the end of the dock. I was looking for more seafood options so I tried Salish out for lunch. The host greeted me and I was able to be seated immediately. They had a lunch course menu that tempted me, but I sent with the mussels linguine dish. It was soo good, but I feel like I’m going to need a nap in a few hours. Definitely worth checking out

We left full and completely satisfied!

We made our reservation about two months in advance to make sure we’d get a table since it was our first visit. They seated us with a beautiful ocean view, just as we requested. The weather didn’t cooperate that day, but we still appreciated getting the view we asked for.

The food was amazing. We ordered the calamari, potato leek soup, prime rib, clam and mussel linguine, fisherman’s stew, margarita, and mule. The prime rib was perfectly seasoned—thick, tender, and cooked exactly as requested (we ordered it rare because most places overcook it). It was much tastier than many other restaurants we’ve had it at. The linguine was delicious, and the bread was perfectly toasted and seasoned, pasta was flawless. They provided wet napkins and a bowl for shells, which made enjoying the seafood easy. The fisherman’s stew was decent—thicker and more tomato-forward, but still good. The calamari was expertly cooked, and the sauce it came with was excellent. The potato leek soup, though, was phenomenal!

Service was great from start to finish. We’ll definitely return the next time we’re in the area!

This was the first restaurant we ate in after arriving in Washington state and I couldn’t have made a better choice in places to go. The walk from the hotel set the mood which continued in our delicious meal of fisherman stew and clam chowder. Both were superb and memorable. I was truly impressed with the venue and the great service. I wish I had been more hungry for I would’ve sampled more.

We were one of 2 couples there, food was very good. Best calamari I’ve ever had. Size of onion rings. Fish and fries were excellent also. View was nice,However there was an influx of flies attacking us and it made it really difficult to eat as we were swirling our cloth napkins around like helicopters to keep them off of us. They said it was fly season and we actually asked if they had flyswatters we could use when we were waiting for food. They did not, their electric one had recently broke.
Would I eat there again? Probably, the food was good. but I’m bringing my swatter with me!

Upscale casual seafood focused restaurant, with great drinks, and plenty of other options as well. I am personally not a seafood person, but they have a number of things on the menu that I still want to try, and what I’ve tried so far has all been great! This place is definitely a bit on the pricier side, but the service and the food justify that. This is one of those places that I always try to stop into when I’m in the area, though admittedly that is not as often as I would like. I would highly recommend this place to seafood fans, or someone looking for an upscaled casual dining experience. Absolutely excellent, friendly service, great drinks, and an absolutely incredible view. Would definitely recommend this place!

Delicious and enjoyable experience.
Love the historical building.
Best clam chowder I have ever had, but was another level of culinary splendor. Not fishy or clamy tasting, but superbly blended with micro veggies and spices.
Something in its own category.
We can call it Salish style chowder!
(Just remember I came up with the name) Clayton Ulrich 🙂

Well, I ordered the portobello bahn mi because I like trying new things, but I should have stuck to the seafood. The bread was hard, it all fell apart when I tried to dip it in the au jus, and just wasn’t great overall. The coleslaw was luke warm. Definitely not a twenty dollar plate of food. The clam chowder and cod that I tasted from family members’ plates were good. Food also came out at random times and Brussel sprouts were good but were brought out with the meal instead of as an appetizer. Service was friendly.

Let’s be honest, you’re sitting in a tiny town in the PNW eating mussels and fish-n-chips enjoying the views of Townsend Bay, life is great. Our server(s) were delightful. They answered all our questions and provided some local history. We ordered mussels which were outstanding. Plump, meaty, cooked perfectly and in a succulent Broth. The fish-n-chip was also delicious. Crispy and moist, a generous portion or flaky cod. A burger skillet which sounded delicious but was just ok on delivery. We shared everything between 3 ppl and all agreed we would have preferred something more local but were taken with the description. Creme brulee and bananas foster bread pudding were insane! Overall if you’re in the area and want a quintessential PNW Harbor meal you can’t lose! Edit: we made a comment about the nice 80’s music and asked what would be more fitting, music-wise, in this setting and the staff changed the selection to more YacthRock style artists. Think; James Taylor, Van Morrison, Doobie Bros. It was fun.

My partner’s smoke salmon chowder was delicious and rich. Calamari rings tasty. I ordered tgd small kale salad…then re-read the ingredients. No walnuts, one thin slice of apple. Pancetta? Ha! Zero. I’ll read more carefully next time.
