The first contact you have with an establishment sets the tone. Rosa answered when I called to place my order for pickup. Her patience & knowledge of the menu was refreshing. She made me feel they valued their customers. I came on 2/27/25 around 4 pm and the food was ready for pickup at the stated time. The attached pics speak volumes on their own. You could taste the food was made with fresh ingredients. I got the Primavera pizza which was excellent. Rosa suggested I try the white sauce pizza; sooooo glad I did, yum! Cheese fries were abundant with/ plenty of cheese whiz. The cheese steak was made with ‘very good’ steak meat. Everything was packaged neatly for me to carry out.
This area is lucky to have Salerno’s still in the neighborhood. They should be supported for being a ‘top-notch’ Pizzeria Restaurant; realizing they could have relocated anywhere as others have….BUT they choose to stay! THANK YOU SALERNO’S!! 🙂

I do not know what happened to this place used to be my favorite pizza shop but tonight I got the chicken parm and it was horrible the chicken tasted like water and the sauce was watery as well and my salad had yellow lettuce in it .never again I wasted my hard earned money and it seems like you guys do not care also my chicken had a wired smell. You all have lost a customer. Buyer beware!!!!!!

This was my first time ordering here, and I can confidently say I’ll be back. To me, great customer service is the heart of any successful business, and the staff here truly delivered. Jessica, the young lady who helped me, was absolutely wonderful, friendly, patient, and welcoming. She never rushed me while I was deciding on my order and made the whole experience enjoyable.

Unlike your average pizza shops that changes hands every few years, this place has been around for over 30+ years with the same owner so I had very high expectations and let me tell you, I was not disappointed.

The food was amazing. I ordered a cheesesteak, and being from Philly, I’ve had them everywhere, from the big-name spots to the local staples we all know. This one was truly top-tier, one of the best I’ve ever had. I also got a chicken parm pasta platter and penne alla vodka for my family. It was so good I thought I was at a five-star restaurant !!

All in all this is now my go to spot and should be yours too !!

This was my second time hitting up Salerno’s, and I gotta say they’re quickly becoming my go-to spot on Rising Sun. The counter girl was super friendly, even took a moment to compliment me and my girl on how cute we are together. That little touch of kindness goes a long way and really makes you feel welcome.

Now, let’s talk about the food. The chef here knows exactly what he’s or she’s doing everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and made with real care. From the pizza to the cheesesteaks or chicken cheese steak as you may call it , it’s the kind of cooking that reminds you why local spots like this will always beat out the big chains.

Hands down, Salerno’s is my favorite takeout restaurant in the area. Great service, amazing food, and a vibe that makes you want to keep coming back. Nobody on Rising Sun is topping them.

I tried their takeaway stombolisteak and I really liked it. The flavor of Italian dough and herbs!

Rude customer service. Been coming here for years. Recently, the dark-brown-haired, white, younger female at the counter completely ignored me while I was waiting to order. With so many options I won’t be back

I just spent 8$ for a slice that they cut in half and call it 2 and a soda I was on a motorcycle and they tryed to give me a fountain soda. And when I told him I was on the motorcycle, they just took it back instead of offering me a bottle that I can carry not to mention. I stood there for 6 minutes. As the older lady just stood there on Her phone while I was standing there. Waiting to be served me and another person time to go back to Big Ben’s.

I’ve been ordering Sicilian pizza from here for almost 20yrs. I moved out of Lawncrest about 10 yrs ago so it takes me about 25mins to get there and 25mins to get home. My last order was back in May 2025. I got into an accident on way there and had to go to hospital. I called and told them what had happened. I recently tried to call an order in and they refused me telling me I need to pay for the past order I couldn’t pick up. How uncaring can an establishment be over 1 order. I found a new place much closer to my home that has much better pizza than Salernos. Must be under new mgmt. Very disappointed.
