Food was excellent! My mother and I came in on a Monday evening and the service was great even when they got a little busy. We ordered fried mushrooms as our appetizer and she smashed them. She also got a mushroom and swiss burger with caramelized onions that was full of so much flavor. I got the cowboy burger and it was absolutely delicious! Burgers are seasoned perfectly and they cook it to how you want it. The wings are also great, they are fried well and the hot sauce is very tasty and the perfect balance of heat and flavor. Prices are so worth it! We love Salem Gardens!

*Update* My first time was a complete fluke. I have been unable to get served here multiple times now. Whether it be a local sports team taking over the entire restaurant, or coming in and never getting waited on. I have no idea how it’s still in business. This place is awful and is now on my banned list, avoid at all costs unless you don’t care to be waited on. Ridiculous.

It was very busy at 7pm on Saturday. Our first visit we assumed we seat ourselves and found a table in the bar. Got some menus and enjoyed the pretzel bites with a great amount of salt! They had a fun electronic juke box and we played shuffleboard while we waited on food. Had a half pound burger and a quarter pounder. Cooked well and good size, could use some seasoning. Onion rings were crispy and plentiful. Bathrooms were clean, nice servers.

A townie locale, Salem Gardens was a disappointment despite it’s unique location. The food was subpar, my toast used in my sandwich was overcooked, and the sandwich itself bland. Service was equally bad, though I would not attribute it as intentional like other reviews have said. Instead, I attribute it to inexperience though that does not excuse the 10 minute wait time from sitting down to ordering drinks. The waiter did take off my drink order to make up for it, which was nice, but it was not enough to turn around my experience. Though the atmosphere is slightly redeeming, this hole in the wall violates a cardinal rule in the food industry; the outdoor garden area is a vastly different experience than the bar area which in turn is a vastly different experience from the dining room area.

This place is a family favorite in our house it’s just around the corner and the food is usually hot and tasty regardless of weather we’re eating at home or at the restaurant. A long standing Cincinnati bar and grill with an excellent outside patio and fun and games inside with of room for the whole family. Definitely worth going to this restaurant for some quality time with your people or just yourself. It’s never overly loud even when when it’s popping. Enjoy

Overpriced and over hyped. More than $10 a burger with no sides that you could very easily make at home. Only came here because I was told it was amazing. It wasn’t.the burgers come with NOTHING I repeat NOTHING on them or with them And are charged like full meals you’d get at any other burger joint. Jimmy B’s towards Amelia has way better burgers for cheaper that come with fries and things. The Turf Club isn’t cheaper but is much better for the same price. There isn’t a point to visiting this place. Every restaurant on its street is better, and most burgers within a 5 mile radius are going to be better AND cheaper. Maybe it used to be good, the locals seem to LOVE IT, but I personally can’t find a single redeeming quality about this restaurant except the exterior. The building itself is gorgeous and could be used for literally any other establishment in much more productive way. From the sheepish waitress who KNOWS we’re being over charged, to the nearly 45 minute wait for the food, to the cost to mid burger that was finally presented to us- the entire experience was negative.

Great experience. The good was really good. The only thing is everything is ala carte and there is no kids menu. But over all great

Had a 4 classes AHS mini reunion at Salem Gardens tonight(9/12/25). 60+ people attended. 100% excellent. Annie made it so easy to reserve it (outside area), Mo and Dani made the service spectacular especially being short staffed, and their food is fantastic! Cannot thank you all enough. Will definitely be booking more events at Salem Gardens.

Food was really good, appetizers were easily enough for 2 or 3 people without having to get a side if main doesn’t come with one. Side prices seem a bit much, along with 50 cents for veg on burger, but in the end it’s a nice touch cause you save money if you don’t want it. If you put veg and side prices on it’s still average to cheaper than most places, at least for the burgers. Go somewhere else and don’t want the side or veg, you still pay full price. App and burger each was plenty for two, ended up having to take some home. Burgers were really good, cooked close enough to ask. Tots had a good fry on them without being crunchy all the way through.
Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is service. Wasn’t that busy but service was super slow, especially to get initial drinks and check. I would go again. If service is better then will bump up.

Amazing pub-style food with a friendly staff and very affordable prices! Easy to see how this place has been around almost 100 years! Definitely making a priority to come back when in the area
