I stopped by during my weekday lunch break and ordered a slice of the pesto chef’s choice, which was delicious. I took it to go and ate it in my car once I got back to work, and it still absolutely delivered. They do offer to-go boxes, but they’re sized for a whole pizza, so I opted to take my slice on a plate instead.
The location is convenient, with parking available. I parked in the lot behind the shop by Stadium Thriftway. Overall, it was a quick and satisfying stop. I definitely recommend checking them out, and I plan to order whole pizzas from them in the future.
P.S. cheap and affordable!
Saw this online, figured it was worth a go.
Place was low budget, almost dive-ish. Service was okay, no real comment.
Pizza was okay, albeit aged. Crust was thin, tasty and crispy. Toppings were okay. Had two large slabs of pepperoni, odd. Was definitely “NY Style” but was a 6 out of a possible 10 for overall authenticity.
As a NYC native, I would make it a point to always recommend salamones to anyone looking for the best slice, and up until a few months ago Salamones was always my #1.
The best way to describe the quality as of late is just lazy. Ordered two pies with nearly 3 inches of crust all around and barely even sliced all the way through.
I travel all the way from Auburn to pick up pies for the family, with the disappointing experiences lately, I’ll be reconsidering where to bring my business.
Unfortunately they’re a little inconsistent with their slices. They didn’t have any available when I walked in and I had to wait for each variety to come out. I probably waited a total of 20 minutes which isn’t ideal for a place that advertises pizza by the slice! I hope they were just having an off night. Either way, good, affordable pizza!
