This spot definitely reminded me of a classic NY pizza joint, quick ordering and more of a get-in, get-out vibe. Not because of the staff (they were friendly and clearly hard at work), but just the overall atmosphere. There are a few tables if you want to eat there, but it doesn’t really feel like a sit-down spot.

I stopped by during my weekday lunch break and ordered a slice of the pesto chef’s choice, which was delicious. I took it to go and ate it in my car once I got back to work, and it still absolutely delivered. They do offer to-go boxes, but they’re sized for a whole pizza, so I opted to take my slice on a plate instead.

The location is convenient, with parking available. I parked in the lot behind the shop by Stadium Thriftway. Overall, it was a quick and satisfying stop. I definitely recommend checking them out, and I plan to order whole pizzas from them in the future.

P.S. cheap and affordable!

Native NYer on the holy grail for pizza in WA State.
Saw this online, figured it was worth a go.
Place was low budget, almost dive-ish. Service was okay, no real comment.
Pizza was okay, albeit aged. Crust was thin, tasty and crispy. Toppings were okay. Had two large slabs of pepperoni, odd. Was definitely “NY Style” but was a 6 out of a possible 10 for overall authenticity.

Been coming to Salamones since its opened and sadly with the newer staff at the stadium district location, quality has seriously gone down hill.

As a NYC native, I would make it a point to always recommend salamones to anyone looking for the best slice, and up until a few months ago Salamones was always my #1.

The best way to describe the quality as of late is just lazy. Ordered two pies with nearly 3 inches of crust all around and barely even sliced all the way through.

I travel all the way from Auburn to pick up pies for the family, with the disappointing experiences lately, I’ll be reconsidering where to bring my business.

This New York style pizza rivals the best of the best. Crispy, full of flavor, and customer service that is awesome. Nice neighborhood pizza parlor vibe which is fun too. Highly recommend!

We used to really enjoy getting their cheesy garlic breadsticks a few times a month. They seemed to have changed the recipe and the last several times they have been downright gross. It seems like they have added way too much mozzarella and oil making it taste undercooked, stringy, and impossible to cut or eat. So so disappointed because we won’t be coming back again unless they change back the older recipe. It was more golden, had less cheese, and was super tasty and easy to pull apart and eat. The last 5-7 times have all been the same. Undercooked, gooey, greasy, and unable to pull apart without globs of cheese string and oil. I called and asked them to please make sure it was cooked all the way. When my husband came to pick it up he asked them to re-fire it. Still super gooey and so much cheese you can choke on. Please put less cheese and bring back the original recipe. We will be back if you do!

Pretty good New-York slice on the West Coast! The crust has a decent crunch to it and the cheese is very generous. I had a classic pepperoni and a white with tomato and artichoke. I’m not sure which I preferred but they were both good and really greasy.

Unfortunately they’re a little inconsistent with their slices. They didn’t have any available when I walked in and I had to wait for each variety to come out. I probably waited a total of 20 minutes which isn’t ideal for a place that advertises pizza by the slice! I hope they were just having an off night. Either way, good, affordable pizza!

Best pizza in the state! The crust is light and crispy, sauce is on point and the cheese is perfect! Absolutely recommend giving this place a try. They even have an upstairs area for more peaceful dining. Closest your gonna get to some true New York style pizza!
