First off super toddler friendly staff and exceptionally clean bathrooms.
No diaper changing station in the bathroom.
The food was delicious.
The bill automatically included 18% tip, which is fine as the service was top notch. The overall bill came to $77 dollars for the meal. Which was for me and my two year old. So…can me and my clone drop $77 on a meal, on a regular? No. So while the food was delicious and the service top notch, it’ll be another year before we go back.
This really isn’t a comment about Sala Thai specifically. Rather commentary on the overall economy. As at these prices it turns out it’s true, we have food at home.

Was taking a bus from NYC to DC that stopped near Stadium Armory. Randomly found this Thai place on Google Maps and ordered duck curry and iced Thai tea. The portion was great and the food tasted really really good! The staff were super friendly as well. Also got a pad see ew with beef for takeaway.

We recently tried Sala Thai at Park Kennedy and had a great experience. The service was very friendly and welcoming, and the food was excellent. The kapow had a perfect spice level and was full of flavor. We also really enjoyed the crab rangoons and wontons, both were very good. The grilled beef was especially delicious: incredibly tender, flavorful, and paired with a great sauce. We’ll definitely be back.

The atmosphere is very cozy here, and the swrvice personnel were very attemptive. We ordered basil fried rice, which was extremely spicy, and I just couldn’t eat it. We also ordered seafood fried rice, and the shrimps didn’t taste fresh.

I’ve had my eye on this place for a while, and I’m so glad I finally stopped by for lunch—it was absolutely amazing! The food and service were on another level. We ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai, Kapow Goong Gai, and the Maryland Crab Roll, and every dish was bursting with flavor. Our waiter, Steve, was incredible—so kind and personable. He not only gave us fantastic food and travel tips for our upcoming trip to Thailand but also taught us how to pronounce and order some of the dishes we loved. It was such a thoughtful touch! I’m already looking forward to my next visit and can’t recommend this spot highly enough. Plus, it’s super convenient, located right next to the Stadium-Armory metro station. A must-visit!

With several locations around the city, you can’t go wrong at Sala Thai. Located in a new building near the Stadium Armory Metro Station, this location comes with a bar, murals, and plenty of seating.
Ordering takeout for pickup on a Friday evening, my order of green curry chicken and mango and sticky rice was ready withing 15 minutes. The flavor on both tasted great! Unlike other Thai spots, there were jalapenos peppers in the green curry giving it a little kick.
Service was quick and friendly.
