Sala Dang is Definately recommended. The food is exceptional. The service outstanding. I especially enjoyed the casual homestyle surroundings and family like embracement. Khob Khun La Sala Dang!

Authentic Thai food. Ambience is nice and the owners are so nice. Nice place and really quite. Food is really good, large servings. Not much people eating when we came but nonetheless a good place to fill your belly before hitting the long drive.

Decided to try Sala Dang given the good reviews. Unfortunately our experience was a bit disappointing. The food is not as authentic as they say…
If you don’t mind Thai food made for foreign taste, this place is comfortable and the Thai music creates a nice vibe. The owner also seemed nice greeting us when we sat down, but that wasn’t enough for us to have a good experience.

This is the best Thai place I’ve ever been to, and the best curry I’ve ever had, hands down.
The food is amazing, and the staff being surprisingly friendly and happy puts this experience over the top.
We were told that the curry is made from scratch, nothing is from a box or can, and that most definitely shines through in the unparalleled taste.
If you’re reading this, rest assured, you’ve found your place.

This place was amazing. Best Thai I have had. Very few items on the menu, but I’m pretty sure thats why it’s done so well! I had the fish over a papaya sala, and the fish was delicious. Husband had the lemongrass chicken and I had some of his, it was also amazing. Almost all of the food had quite a bit of spiciness to it, so if you dont like spice ask before you order something. I’m so sad I can’t go back frequently as I live 3000 miles away.

Found this place on accident coming north off the Road to Hana. Super fresh and authentic Thai food; great at the end of an amazing day exploring Hana. Had the pannang curry with calamari and rice noodles, my wife had veggie pad Thai and the rest of our people had the crispy fish with papaya salad and red curry with pork. We had tom yum soup as well which was huge. All the portions were enormous and more than satisfying. Definitely a local gem. A must stop if you’re in the area.

Food:
Shrimp pad Thai: 3/5
Mossoman chicken curry: 3/5
Vegetarian garlic stir fry: 3/5
Service: just okay. The servers weren’t unfriendly but they were not especially friendly, either. You didn’t feel like they were excited to serve you.
Decor, ambiance, presentation: the menus were simply printed in computer paper with no laminate or pictures. The water was served from throwaway white plastic cups. The silverware was cheap. None if this matters much to me, but it gives you an idea of how upscale, or not, the restaurant is.
The place was decently busy with both adult-only parties as well as parties with kids. It’s a small place and has both indoor and outdoor seating with Buddhist-themed decor.

Outstanding and authentic Thai food with a pleasant ambiance. We came for lunch and had the mixed seafood curry special. I was blown away by the quality of ingredients (filets of mahi, snapper, salmon plus shrimp). If you are in the area, I strongly recommend eating here!
