This is the place I go when I have a craving for sushi and don’t want to go somewhere too far away. Is it the best sushi out there in CT? No, but it’s always fresh and really doesn’t disappoint too much. I never had a problem with the food or service I think they do a really good job here. They even accommodated me for my white fish allergy. I would recommend you get the sushi combo platter, bento box, or the fried ice cream (for dessert).

The night was 4 people out for a good meal . this is my first time at a hibache restaurant so with the ski flowing flames rising and my jar open nearly the first 30 minutes of the show. The food was unbelievable I Recommend a flavor Bonanza I had the Steak and Salmon dish which came with awesome rice and vegetables all cooked and seasoned to perfection in front of my eyes.10 out of 10. The food was decent, average hibachi food. The service was TERRIBLE. The waitress was rude, slow, and had no idea what she was doing. She had to write down each of our orders for the check three times and tried to add automatic gratuity even though there was only 5 of us when its supposed to be parties of 8+. I asked about our sushi because it was taking forever and she replied “its busy it’ll take a while” meanwhile I could see it up in the window. Before that she tried to hand me a shrimp tempura roll and said it was my vegetable roll. I have a shrimp allergy. I never leave less than 20% as a server myself but this was truly the worst service I have ever had in my life. She also charged my friends 6$ for noodles when they got them instead of rice not both. The food was bland and expensive. Absolutely terrible all around. I will never come back, go to Noble in southington always.

I’ve been here a few times with friends and family. The food is always good, the cocktails and beer are also. The habachi performances were always entertaining and the atmosphere at midday is very calm and peaceful, where at night time it comes a bit more alive. The servers are all friendly. I recommend this place for great food and service.

This was my first time eating at this restaurant. First, let’s start with the positive aspects. There’s plenty of parking, restaurant is clean but small, we were seated quickly, and the waitress was friendly. Unfortunately, the prices were very high for the portions and even the kid’s meals were $20+. Took a very long time to get our food, the food was luke warm, bland and the hibachi chicken was course. The vegetables and chicken didn’t taste fresh. Not many drink options so I ordered a gingerail and it was stale. The waitress was nice but she didn’t check on us often. Gratuity of 18% is automatically added to your bill as well. I’ve eaten at many hibachi restaurants and this one fell short in many ways. My family and I will not return.

I want to start by saying I have been a loyal Sakura customer for over 8 years. I have always LOVED this place and THOUGHT IT WAS CLEAN. However, yesterday’s visit left me feeling sick to my stomach. I came with a friend who was visiting from out of state. We ordered 2 rolls of sushi each and enjoyed the food. I kid you not, right as I was taking my last bite I see a COCKROACH scurry by our table and by the bar . I wish I could say that was the only one we saw….We finished the glasses of wine we ordered and we were OUT of there so fast!!! I was going to approach the woman at the front but it seemed like everyone was flustered . I also did not want to cause a scene. I really hope to come back one day. I hope Sakura can get the pest under control soon!!!

Decided to treat an employee to lunch who got a promotion. We decided on sushi and I’m glad we did. I did takeout, it was ready within the 20 minutes they said. The restaurant was clean inside and in the back they were enjoying hibachi. I had the rocky shrimp which I loved. Also had the volcano roll and another roll with cream cheese. Can’t remember what it was called. Definitely recommend Sakura.
