First time walking up and down Main Street for the holiday market and we chose this gem to eat at. We were greeted by a lovely bartender and we chose our own seats. Our server came out fast and was super friendly. We ordered the broccoli cheddar soup that was on a specials menu and was out of this world delicious. Both the burger and chicken sandwich had great portion sizes and were scrumptious. Next time we out in town I will be stopping by.

Nestled in warmth and ambience, this bar is clean, historic and authentic. Service is excellent (thank you Lisa). Visited on Veterans Day and commemorated our heroes out for the day. We had beer on tap and the famous Nashville chicken. Presentation of the bar very creative. Open since 1850, they know what they’re doing! A must visit, we drove in from an hour away. Chester’s finest.

Food was excellent! I had chicken burger and my partner had fish tacos. Plentiful portions, prices to be expected when dining out these days. Not out of the norm. Wish the waitress was a little bit more attentive considering we were only ones in there. I would definitely go back.

Regular customer, partner and I walked in at 8:45 and was ignored by staff for 15 minutes and then told the kitchen was closed as of 9pm. Everywhere I can find info, it says the kitchen closes at 9:30 or 10 on Saturdays.
I can understand the young staff wanting to get a start on their respective Saturday nights, but I feel like if we arrive at a place either 45 minutes or an hour and 15 minutes before their posted kitchen close, we should be able to get food. It’s a shame, because this place is definitely one of our favorite hangs in the area.

The lunch I had here was phenomenal! I wish I had taken a picture! I ordered the Southwest Spring Rolls expecting to get some small previously frozen appetizer looking item. What actually came were 3 huge homemade gorgeous rolls! They were incredibly delicious! I can’t stop thinking about them and need to go back to get more!! Order this item! You will be happy you did!!

We really wanted to love it here, but unfortunately it was not a great experience. We ordered the French onion soup (a special) and immediately regretted it – the cheese on top was barely melted, and the soup was room temp. Once we broke into it, we quickly realized it was barely a soup, it was 75% crouton and 25% soup. Not a great start to the meal. We then ordered the Thanksgiving Wrap and it should not be on the menu. It was dry, and consisted of just stuffing and turkey. One of the worst sandwiches we’ve ever had. We also had a southwestern salad and it was ok, the tortilla strips were a nice touch, though arrived to the table undressed and no dressing on the side either. The rest of our party ordered nachos, which arrived with different ingredients than were listed on the menu (they were smothered in bbq sauce, which none of us expected on Mexican nachos). To top it off, the sodas were flat and the table was so wobbly you couldn’t apply any weight to it without the food and drink sliding around. Our waiter was the only positive of the night. Unfortunately, not a place I think I’ll return to (for food at least).

The vibes could be good but they just aren’t. The bartender on a Friday night was extremely rude not friendly and just wanted to gossip with coworkers, the food was cold but if it had been served right had potential to be good. We got a burger that was definitely frozen but the fries were great. If the service wasn’t so awful I’d think about coming back. Maybe don’t sit at the bar! Worst bar service I’ve had!

We had an incredibly sweet and professional waiter, Matt, who made sure we had everything we need, complimented our choices, and got all our orders perfectly. The food was decent. Pub style food, small portions but very tasty. Great appetizers, good drinks menu, and awesome vibe. Very cute place. Prices were fair. Cool scene.
