We’ve been regular customers at this restaurant for a long time and genuinely enjoyed eating here. We come often enough that we don’t even need menus—we always order the same things. When the lunch closing time changed from 3:00 to 2:30, we adjusted our schedule to make sure we arrived with enough time to order and eat. Yesterday we arrived around 1:55 p.m., well before the posted 2:30 closing time, and were told at the host stand that they were “closed.” Then we were told they stop taking food orders at 2:00. There is no signage, no notice on the door, and no indication online that last orders are taken earlier than the posted closing time. If food service ends at 2:00, that needs to be clearly communicated.
What made this worse was the attitude of the hostess—she was short, abrupt, and unwelcoming. This wasn’t a quick or convenient drive for us, and being turned away like that took time out of our day for no reason. It’s honestly disappointing because we really did enjoy this place, but between the lack of communication and the poor interaction, we’re done. We won’t be returning to this location or any of the others. I’ll also be sharing this experience with coworkers and friends, many of whom regularly eat here and follow our lead on where we order lunch. This kind of inconsistency and treatment is a fast way to lose loyal customers.

Just tried this location for the hibachi option (some locations don’t do the hibachi style, call to ask), group of four, dinner on Monday, and I’m leaving this review because of how delicious our dinner was! The hibachi chef was excellent and our waitress was so nice and attentive. This is the first and only place we have gone where my father in law didn’t complain about anything! He said multiple times how good the food was! Highly recommend for a yummy, fun time! Thank you!

Came here with my family, and the service was very fast. We came at around 4:45 p.m. and were seated immediately. We each ordered a few things from the sushi menu and it came out within 10 mins. The food was great and the service was good. I gave the atmosphere a 4 only because there are a few things that are outdated, and they seated us all the way at the back, which may be because we had a baby, but either way we kind of felt forgetten at first. Other than that, everything was great, and I would recommend it if you like sushi and hibachi.

We had a wonderful first dining experience at Sakura Japanese Restaurant, and it exceeded our expectations. The food was fresh, flavorful, and delicious, making our meal truly enjoyable. Our server, Fanny, provided outstanding service she was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome throughout the evening. Dining here for the first time with my wife was a great experience, and we truly appreciate the excellent food and exceptional service. We look forward to returning soon.

Good food and good amount of choices to choose from, plenty of options and detailed descriptions of what you are getting.
If you are a big eater then the prices WILL hike up VERY quickly but the taste on every bite makes it worth it if you have some extra money to splurge on.
If you dont eat as much but like sushi then this is good priced and a good amount to eat for one person or two people if you both are small eaters.
Mochi ice cream is good desert to end off on if you dont want anything too big of a desert either.
Just remember to be careful on ordering food and watch how much you spend! You might lose yourself on this place

If you’re in Mililani, you’ve got to check out Sakura Restaurant! We recently went there and had an awesome time.
We ordered the avocado stuffed dish, the Sakura boat, soft shell crab, kani salad, hibachi vegetables and one of their dinner combo. Everything was delicious! The avocado stuffed was super creamy and fresh, while the Sakura boat had a great variety of sushi that looked as good as it tasted. The soft shell crab was crispy and so satisfying!
It did take a little while for the staff to come back to our table to take our orders, but honestly, it was worth the wait. The portions are HUGE! We were stuffed by the end of our meal. Plus, there’s plenty of parking, which is always a bonus. The vibe was chill, and the staff were really friendly too. Overall, Sakura Restaurant is a must-try if you’re craving some tasty food. We’ll definitely be back for more!

Awesome restaurant! Great food and Great service! The servers Are always on standby to make sure your cup is never empty, the Shrimp tempura is amazing here very crispy and overall great taste, The hibachi steak is also very good and cooked very nicely.
