I was excited to try this place and I am left with disappointment. 1) no music or TV was on to improve the atmosphere. 2) the hostess/waitress’s demeanor was rude and lackluster. 3) The food was awful. I ordered the shrimp ramen and it was overflowed with broth and way too much cilantro. The broth was bland at best. The noodles were overcooked and the shrimp tasted like rubber We ordered the shrimp tempura and that was the only thing good. Do not go to the restroom or you will melt in this Mississippi heat right now the air does not work in there. Do not rest your time or money going here drive to Memphis and try Kami Ramen Bar. You will have a better experience trust me. Oxford, MS needs more diversity in the food scene this place is not it. Just awful.

My boyfriend and I had ramen here around 3:30 pm. It was a slower time, which meant we got food quickly. It was amazing authentic Chinese ramen. I love ramen. It is some of my favorite food, and here you could get extra spicy chili oil, which is the more salty spicy chili oil, which is the flavor I prefer. Plus, they got the double cooked egg with the delicious flavor, too!!! Yum!!! As a ramen lover, I would definitely recommend this place. I love, love, love that it is Chinese ramen with handmade noodles. Like I said

Friendly and quick service. The ramen is good and the sauce on the side of the fried tempura is delicious.

Was surprised with the quality of this resturant. The food was excellent, fresh and flavorful. Got the gyoza which tasted authentic and you could tell that the staff here cares about what they do. Got the beef Ramen for my entree and was definitely happy with it.
I will be back to try more of their menu!
Edit: In the 3 months since my review I have been over a dozen more times and never had a bad experience. They only seem to be improving as time goes on and the service has remained excellent. Have only ever seen them smiling and welcoming!

I have been living in the Oxford area for two years now searching for an Asia restaurant that does not taste like trash until this place open I was like sure why not try one more place. And I’m glad I did the soup base tasted amazing and the noodles were perfect with no chemical taste and a lovely chewy texture. Looking at the noodles I realize that they were serious when they said they made their noodles. I got the beef ramen and next time I order the chicken (I think that was available) and included photos of my order. Thank you so much for opening here!

Absolutely delicious!
We ordered the combination, beef flank, beef shank ramen bowls and tempura shrimp appetizer.
Loved it all.
They have the soy sauce, chili oil, forks, chop sticks, straws and spoons on the table so you don’t have to ask for them.
Will be one of our regular spots!

I was really excited to visit this restaurant but disappointed upon arrival but I stayed hoping that the food would be good. The customer service was poor, food was unseasoned, and the noodles must have been sitting in the broth all day. I ordered the shrimp ramen and shrimp tempura and both were left at the table due to being overcooked and inedible. I did not want to pay for such an unpleasant meal. It was definitely not worth the money. I will not be returning or advising my friends or family to visit.

The sweet tea barely has a tea color and was basically sugar water. The hibachi chicken was decent but my son and MIL got the ramen- the classic Maruchan is better and it’s $1 a pack. We were the only ones in the restaurant and the lady stayed on her phone, which was on speaker. My son almost broke a tooth in some white bead in the fried cheese cake. We really were not impressed.

I honestly don’t know how the reviews are this good, it really led me astray. My family had three orders of ramen, one fried rice, and a yagi soba. The appetizers were great, everything after just went downhill. The yagi soba tasted like plain boiled noodles. The fried rice actually was the best thing by far, I have good notes for the fried rice. The ramen made me so sad. I love ramen, but this was one of the worst meals I have had in such a long time. The egg was hard boiled and tasted wrong, that’s all I can do to explain it. The meat was tough, and there wasn’t enough flavor until I put so much chili oil it made my eyes water.

I’m not sure what’s going on but this is not ramen the noodles are old spaghetti noodles not even prepared to replace ramen noodles, just plain boiled spaghetti , the egg was hard boiled (I suppose it was supposed to be a soy sauce egg but it tasted like nothing)broth is flavourless the only thing with flavour in the entire bowl was the cilantro. Highly disappointed, won’t be coming back…which is sad because my husband said the staff was kind.
