Reviews
The servers have become more friendly and the their food has improved immensely.
The Chicken Hot and Sour Soup is very unique, flavorful and delicious, and was one of the best parts of my meal.
I’ll keep trying things on the menu till I find the best choices.
I ordered the Gyoza appatizer and the Beef w/Broccoli entree.
Appetizer came quickly. The presentation was nice and the ingredients tasted fresh and savory. The salad that came with it didn’t do anything for me and was relatively plain tasting.
The entree was a bit on the small side; it would likely only feed one to two people. I felt that the sauce was a bit on the heavy side and the broccoli was slightly undercooked. The rice that came with it was mealy tasting and detracted from the overall meal.
Drinks: 0/10
Although there were signs for beer apparently they are currently not serving it. This in itself is not a reason for a zero score, however the fountain drink mix was also off leading to poor taste as well.
Please don’t advertise alcohol if you do not serve it. It comes across as disingenuous.
Atmosphere: 6/10
The place was very clean, well lit, and comfortable. My main concern was with the choices of media. While I was there, they were playing very downbeat country music, which was honestly kind of depressing when trying to eat dinner. In contrast to this were the TVs on the wall showing game shows. The net effect was that of a family style country western Asian restaurant, which is a first for me.
Overall: 4/10
If you’re looking for a place to grab some food with a large group, this might not be a bad choice.
I’m being hyperbolic. But yeah that’s the worst “chicken” I’ve ever had in my life. Total trash.
To their credit, they are a Japanese restaurant and I ordered a very generic American Chinese dish. But China wok is closed on Mondays so that wasn’t an option. But if you can’t do it right take it off the menu.
They have an excellent selection of Asian cuisine with traditional take out fare, hibachi, and sushi. They have also done a great job renovating. Both visits my service was good. Well be going back again I’m sure.
