My husband and I stopped by here after a stroke of bad luck while traveling home. My husband cannot have gluten, so finding a place to eat on the road can be hard. Sake Sushi was absolutely fantastic for us. Our waitress was very kind and understanding of his allergy and made sure anything he ordered was gluten free or could be made gluten free. On top of that, the food was FANTASTIC! Some of the best I’ve ever had and we will for sure be returning while we are traveling!

This place is definitely a hidden gem in Black Mountain. Everything was fresh and delicious. Great service too.

Went on a Friday at 4pm, seated immediately, service was excellent throughout. THE best shrimp hibachi. Homemade yum yum/white sauce – to die for. Hot sake did its thang. Sushi was just okay. Drove over from Marion. will definitely be back!

So enjoyed my meal. Wonderful food, great price and generous portion. The waitress was delightful. The restaurant is small so she was around, but never bothered us or rushed us. We apologized for spending so much time, although we were aware that the restaurant was not very busy, she told us to take our time as she had some empty tables. Looking forward to my next meal there.

Really disappointed by our experience here. The sushi was okay. Teriyaki chicken had a clumpy thick teriyaki gravy on it. Ramen was SO disappointing, it was very plain and had little to no flavor. Heads up if you get takeout- ramen they didn’t pack it like most places do ( broth and noodles separate) by the time i ate it the noodles were so soggy, it was very gross. Prices were very high for the food to be as bad as it was. After seeing good reviews i had high expectations and was really let down.

My fiancé and I dropped by for a sushi fix, and this place exceeded our expectations! The sushi rolls were super fresh and the takoyaki was delicious. We’re definitely stopping by again during future travels.

Located in the Cheshire Village in Black Mountain, NC, Sake Sushi was a great stop for dinner. There was 5 of us and everyone enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. For appetizers, we got the Tempura Appetizer, consisting of golden battered fried shrimp and vegetables and the Crab and Tuna Rangoon, which was crab, ground tuna, cream cheese and tobiko deep fried in wonton wrap. For dinner we got the Sunset Roll, a refreshing cucumber roll with crab and cream cheese, Chirashi Sushi,
12 pieces of assorted sashimi over a bowl of white rice, and some hibachi dishes. All were very tasty and enjoyed by all. We will definitely be back again.

Love being able to grab sushi in Black Mountain! Several vegan and vegetarian options. Clean restaurant with good service. I’ll change my rating to 5 stars if they get a premium music streaming subscription so we don’t have to listen to ads while eating
EDIT: Hiiii can we get rid of the ads please???

Excellent sushi! Everything was fresh and flavorful. We were seated outside and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. There was no wait and our food came out quickly. The recommended sake that was refreshing and smooth.
I would recommend and look forward to dining here on our next trip.
