Amazing sushi, amazing chefs, amazing vibe.
This place rocks and deserves more than 5 stars. The chefs here are artists. The servers are very friendly, and the owner cares. The owner must have visited our table more than three times to check up on us. What an amazing service.

So my brotha from anotha motha hit me up on Labor Day. Asking what I was doing and me having reviews to report. I suddenly got thrown back to my High School days and I have homework to do because it is all due tomorrow. I know it has no due date, it just keeps what I’m reviewing relevant. So here we are I love sushi, in my young days,I would not give it the time of day. But thank god my taste bud it came to it senses. No pun intended. So aside from rant. Sake 2 me is good I’m not gonna lie the service was fast. I would say faster than some fast food places. It’s sushi for good sakes and work of art. This place serves Pepsi. I know some how it’s a thing and if they don’t have coke it’s not a place to be. But don’t go here for the coke. Go for the sushi. They got other thing to drink. At first, when you sit down you’re greeted with a little plate with two chips and some type of fish and dressing. Very presentable. The taste was good it opened the taste bud to what was to come. If you think about it is brave to do. Sit down and try this out. Like when you go to a good ice cream shop and they give you a spoon full of ice cream. Well it’s a little spoon, but still. But sushi to do it, how do you know what I like? Mr. Guy, dude, man or sushi guru for the lack of a better title. I added the photos to proudly show the gourmet. Frankly, just seeing the pictures makes me wanna go back. The tempura was crunchy and when it got to the table it was hot. The fish tasted fresh. I don’t really like cream cheese and there is some rolls that had cream cheese. I will say they know how much to add. Enough to make it creamy but not enough to over power what your eating. I have to admit those were sentences that were hard to write without being innuendos. But trust me keeping it food wise was hard. Especially cause all the jokes would be on me. But, it has to be noted that they know what there doing. Being from a Mexican background when they say spicy. We expect the blood of the thing from “alien”. I got to admit I got hungry when I saw the scene. From the movie, I wanted momma’s guacamole. Call me a fat boy. So back to sushi if you call it spicy make sure it spicy. Not the jalapeños that act like real jalapeños that when an adult bites it they feel accomplished because they ate some jalapeno pieces and they conquered the heat. No ma boy it’s got to be so hot you can actually call it a right of passage. A spiritual awakening that you can feel your soul leaving your body as it clawing it way back into you through your bowels. Those who have experienced it know what I am talking about. I will cut them major slack because it sushi and you got to taste all the food. Not like the savages who eat with their hands and put meat on a tortilla and devour a whole carcass. Sushi is of course way more refined. What I will tell you that they offer a sushi roll called the Mexican. I didn’t try it cause my food has to be hotter than Mexican candy. This is a place that makes good food and would recommend it to anyone who like sushi. I would like to actually try sushi from Japan so I can tell the difference between Taco Bell sushi and real sushi. Not implying or saying this is fake as I don’t have that knowledge. So much in fact that I would travel from the valley to Simi valley for sushi. Sake 2 me for sure put a pin on the map for go to fresh. Try them out do the all you can eat. You won’t be disappointed but make sure you bring the challenge.

If you want your tempura extra burned and fried down to a chewy rubber band, go to the Simi Valley location! For added texture, the “Eel sauce” tasted and looked like a cornstarch slurry mixed with BBQ sauce from the dollar tree… very strange. Although we sat far from the bathrooms, the surrounding air smelled like dirty mop water and extra strength Fabuloso…. totally not what I expected from a chain restaurant that is excellent near Orange county. The host was very apologetic and friendly so Im not knocking the service, but if foot traffic is so low that the quality of fish and atmosphere suffer to hell, maybe limit the menu? If you are still reading this and wanna risk food poisoning, just trust your gut and stick to beer at happy hour. As for me and my family, we are NEVER trusting this low traffic sushi restaurant ever again.

I wasn’t really expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. For an AYCE place that is kind of off the beaten path the food was pretty good. Staff was friendly and attentive. There are plenty of options and the portions aren’t big so you are able to try a lot of different things. There are a few unique combinations of sushi rolls that I will back to try.

The best sushi restaurant in Simi Valley. I’ve been to all the sushi restaurants around Moorpark (L.A. Ave and others) and Simi Valley (L.A. Ave, Cochran St, …). This the best one in both town. Excellent customer service and very nice owners.
I’ve been coming to this place over 3 years and I can’t find any place better than this in the valley.

Yesterday I ordered sushi, and the presentation wasn’t very good. Also, when I took my first bite, there was a bag inside. The place is nice, but they should be more careful when serving the product. Thank you. The order was delivered.
