This place has very friendly and welcoming atmosphere! Got greeted and treated like family while we dined. Would recommend for friends date, regular date, or just for dinner! Definitely a relaxed way to spend dinner or lunch!

Ordered a Lady Love roll and a Tootsie Roll. I don’t know what two rolls I was given but it is overpriced at $10 a roll ($20 total) for what I got. The Lady Love roll (left) was supposed to have lemon with it. The Tootsie roll (right) was supposed to have cream cheese and also deep-fried. This is the most disappointing experience I have ever had with a sushi place that I had to post a review. I decided to stop here because it had good ratings. For new management this is questionable.

The pictures are to illustrate also the amount of rice that is in the rolls to the actual other ingredients. The small amount of actual fillings and a roll being labeled as fried but then re-wrapped after defeats the purpose of a fried roll.

TLDR: BEST place for nigiris and sushi.
One of the best places for fresh nigiris. I have tried other places in state and out of state, but no other places have beat Sakana. I love their Mackerel, Eel, King Salmon, Amberjack, Hamachi (Yellowtail) and other nigiris that are seasonal. I highly recommend you to try their nigiris. The rolls that my family and I love are the Sooner and Boulevard rolls. It’s expensive but I always order again from them. I typically revisit when I’m craving sushi or when I’m celebrating something!
One thing that they can work on is their rice. Occasionally the rice is too soggy or there is too much rice for the sushi or nigiri. Other than that, everything is GREAT!

One of my favorite sushi spots in town! Very good quality food and a nice selection on the menu. Theres a lot of variety of sushi both cooked and raw. Lots of entree options with different meats. Employees were very nice and attentive. Very good atmosphere.

This place is simply great. I’ve been here a couple of times and I have not been disappointed. Sushi is fantastic and service is great. Kevin is the man! Decor is really nice and cozy. Highly recommend it.

We went in a little late on March 24 so we were the only ones, the food was amazing and pleasing to the eye. The service was great he even took the time to talk about how sushi was served in different countries and the quality. We really liked the Asian hip hop, overall a great new experience!
