Must try if you are a fan of Mediterranean food!

A ready-to-go/build-your-own style restaurant with a great vegetarian selection and the freshest ingredients. You can customize your own bowls, sajj wraps or pita sandwiches. Plus, the order comes with a bowl of lentils soup.

A friend of mine who is a regular customer here recommended this place to me. Count me in as another regular going forward. Looking forward to try more!

Good food, good prices, large variety. I like that the food is not super spicy, if you want spicy, you choose the spicy sauces. Great idea, unlike other places where they just assume everyone wants it very spicy!
Would love to see tofu as one of the protein sources. And it would be great if their electronic payment accepted tips, as I don’t usually carry much cash.

SAJJ Mediterranean is a good place to get consistent, filling meals at typically-reasonable prices. I’m happy there is a fast-casual chain with many halal options.

Since I typically order takeout, I haven’t spent much time inside the restaurant. But I do like the clean, tasteful aesthetic. I also appreciate the staff, both for their friendliness and promptness.

I’ve tried various meats and enjoyed them all; my favorites are the Pomegranate Chicken and Steak Shawarma. It’s cool to see Döner Kebab on the menu, too.

The different entrée types have varying portion sizes and levels of customization. My preferred type is the Plate, because of the balance of protein, carbs, & veggies. But I think most would like the options & size of the Bowl. On the more critical side, I do not think the Wrap Bites are worthwhile. The form factor & taste are good, but the portions are lacking. I’m also not a fan of the fries and wish I could swap with other sides.

Some other thoughts on the menu. Entrées let you add on a lentil soup cup for free, so don’t forget it! What you should forget about is the Dubai Chocolate… even if it’s “cheap” relative to others, it’s just not that good.

Finally, if you plan to come here more than once, it’s worth creating a free account. You can get some good discounts, including frequent Buy One Get One (BOGO) deals on the entrées. This, plus the consistency & options, make me return to SAJJ even if not the objective “best” Mediterranean in the area.

Sajj is the Mediterranean version of Chipotle. Walk in, decide on a bowl or a bread, choose your meat, veggies, toppings and sides and bingo ! An amazing meal is ready. They serve a hearty lentil soup alongside that is so similar to the Indian masoor dal and a yummy addition. Fast service, relaxed ambience and tasty food.

We’ve been going to Saaj since they first opened, but lately, the experience hasn’t been as good.

The good points: They usually serve fresh vegetables and healthy food, making it a nice spot for a quick lunch or dinner.

The not-so-good points: Recently, the chicken shawarma has been too oily, and the cauliflower is also greasy, which makes the salad bowl feel heavier than it should be. The kids’ mac and cheese, which is a frozen Kraft pack, was a bit undercooked, though the kids still like it. They also removed the fountain sodas, which seems to be a trend in fast food places.

Overall, we’ll give it another one or two tries before deciding if we’ll stop going there.

I pescatarian. I don’t eat meat. And I never liked falafel , that’s why I used to eat Mediterranean food once a year. This place taught me to love this cousin. I come here 2-3 times a week so is my husband, and so are all the friends who I told about SAJJ. Everything is fresh, stuff is the friendliest people. Music is always great – modern mix-s. What stands out is that usually falafel could be confused with rocks that accidentally got into the plate, in SAJJ it’s softer and edible lol. Soup on the side is !! Prices are great too!! My only wishes so that they add some fish options Or maybe falafel made in a slower cooker without frying and oil. And maybe gluten-free pita bread options to add more healthier options.

Just stopped in for lunch. Great food choice. People behind the counter were very friendly. Good air conditioning in restaurants or can sit outside to eat as well.

We ordered take out. Everything seemed fine, but when we started eating it became clear the food wasn’t what we expected: it was very over-dressed, too oily, and not as spicy as we expected from the “spicy tahini”.

Flavors we’re pretty good, ingredients tastes fresh. It was just way too wet and oily for us, and therefore not worth $20 each.

The restaurant was clean, ingredients were fresh, and the employees were friendly and helpful. The lentil soup was absolutely delicious and the fries were hot and crispy. Had the chicken shawarma rice bowl with a variety of toppings. Nice selection of veggies and sauces. Highly recommend if looking for a Mediterranean alternative to Chipotle.
