I haven’t made a review in awhile I have been busy but last night we decided to try Saiko. While I was excited to try this place as the Facebook reviews where high and the fact that the owner is a restaurant veteran saying he’s cooked multiple styles of cuisine. To say I was disappointed is an understatement, not only did they get our food wrong we asked to eat in and got our food in Togo containers. The fried rice was flavor less and over cooked the chicken was small hard pieces. The sauce was good but the crab Rangoon lacked crab. But the nail in the coffin was the spring rolls ours where cold in the middle not just sit on the counter cool but still uncooked in the middle. When I brought this to his attention he gave the spring rolls back to the cooks who dropped them back in the fryer abd delivered them back to me clearly overcooked dark brown and unappetizing at best. As a chef that has also spent 24+ years in the restaurant business and him being the one delivering it back to my table I would not have served those to a customer. The fact that he did without any hesitation tells me everything about this place. I have always said if eating at a restaurant makes me regret not just going to taco bell for burritos then I won’t be back and to saiko I won’t be back …

Food is delicious the atmosphere is incredible and for the price the food is beyond amazing! Can’t complain about what you get because compared to any other place here in town the prices they have are insane and half the time not good or poor portions! Recommend 100%

This is a very peculiar place to me, in that it is open for just a few hours a day and feels much like a fast food restaurant, despite the absurdly high food quality. I bought four dishes in total. The gyoza was good, especially when dipped in the sauce. I wasn’t sure what the sauce was. It kind of looked like soy sauce, but it was thick and sweet. Teriyaki, maybe? Regardless, I really enjoyed it. The sesame chicken was delicious. I was surprised that the chicken and the rice came separated, though I haven’t been to many Asian restaurants in my life so for all I know that could be pretty normal. The rice was completely normal, unseasoned. Not that I really expect different from white rice. It was sticky and filling. The chicken itself surprised me with its quality. I ended up eating the chicken first, thennI scooped the leftover sauce onto the rice. For sushi, I got two things. If I remember right, I got the CEO roll, which had salmon on top and was filled with avacado cream cheese, and I think crab. It was the highlight of my meal. I couldn’t stop eating it. Last but definitely not least was fried sushi on a stick. I didn’t even know that was a thing until now, but I’m so glad I found out about it. I honestly can’t tell which is better between the two sushis I tried. The fried sushi on a stick seemed to be packed full of avacado, cream cheese, and crab (with a shrimp option also available). Every bite was an explosion in my mouth. It’s difficult to eat off the stick, though. I recommend sliding it off the stick and eating with your hands. Now that I can drive to Hays consistently (my old car couldn’t handle it), I plan to eat here fairly frequently. I can’t wait to see how it improves. I don’t even have anything negative to say about it in the first place. This is definitely my favorite Asian restaurant in the area. Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos, because I couldn’t resist eating it all first. Please do yourself a favor and try this place. You won’t regret it.

Cesar has done it again this culinary genius knows exactly what he’s doing. Delicious food Quick Service the rice is prepared exactly how it’s supposed to be. The proportions are accurate I’m a big guy so I wish there was a little more but the good size egg rolls make up for it. Hopefully the menu gets bigger. It’s great to see him cooking great Asian food with such a strong crew. I will be back

The food was good but myself and others thought it could have been better! It probably won’t taste good reheated a second day but we will find out! It is definitely reasonably priced. The atmosphere is good it’s just gets smoky in the building when they make the food so maybe get a tempered glass or something to keep the smoke in that area only so that way people aren’t around it… not sure if that’s helpful or not! They had decent music playing in the background and speedy service especially with how busy they are with it being the first couple weeks open! Welcome to Hays! Just give it a try people!

Busy friday night before valentine’s we stopped in for a quick dinner to go. A sushi roll was left out from our order and when we went back to get what was missed they threw in another roll for the inconvenience!
