Saigon Tokyo was the place that made my long exhausting work days that much better when I’d want the best dinner from the best people. My boyfriend and I stumbled across it one night when I was craving Vietnamese food. It was interesting the moment you walk in. The glowing fish tank, the moody entry way, the old school sushi counter, and so much more. The prices were as if you were back in times when dinner was affordable AND delicious. We showed all of the people we could to our special restaurant. I will miss you Saigon Tokyo. Thank you for the good food and memories.

We have come here 9 times. The first 8 tines all was well. I don’t know what happened, but I won’t be going back.
1. My sushi was cold! Where else do you get cold sushi? Walmart and convenience stores. The sushi seemed pre-made. The tempura was greasy.

We were really disappointed and will not be back.

NEGATIVE ZERO DONT WASTE UR MONEY HERE

Food’s good, but the service today was trash. I paid $17 for a sushi box and didn’t get any spicy mayo. I asked the short guy for one—he told me I had to pay $0.75. He also said, “We only give it if you dine in,” which makes no sense. Seriously? One sauce should come free with a full box. I’d understand if I was asking for extra—I’d gladly pay. Any decent Asian place always includes at least one, sometimes even gives extra.

The older lady, who used to give it to me before, suddenly said, “No, we don’t.” Then the chubby light-skinned girl jumped in with attitude, acting annoyed just for getting up. She said, “We never give it,” in the nastiest tone. The older lady—who I’m pretty sure is the manager or owner—could’ve at least said, “We’ll give it this time, but next time you’ll have to pay.” But nope—she just said no too.

Every decent sushi spot gives at least one spicy mayo. Don’t bother coming here unless you like being disrespected. That white girl seriously needs an attitude check.

Saigon Tokyo is a Vietnamese restaurant with a sushi bar. It is very packed, which is good for business. Full Viet menu and Japanese menu. Workers seemed busy, which is good. However, not that kind. Told me I could not have my own water and to put it away. I always bring my own water because i can not drink pipe water from restaurants. Also took a long time for service with little to no friendly words. Food came out hot and fresh. 4 stars for the food, 1 less star for the lack of friendliness while dining.

Pork fried gyoza appetizer with orange slices – delish
House ginger salad – well made, nice sized
Pork Beef Chicken Combo Vietnamese Fried Rice – favorite!!
Saigon Roll – mediocre roll, very beautiful to look at, could use some pizzazz

Friendly owner and staff. Extensive menu. Excellent, tasty food. Will definitely order from here again. Enjoyed the pork chow mein, fried rice, shrimp shumai and their meaty chicken wings. Even their Thai iced tea was on point.

Service was quick and friendly. They do allow inside dining at this time. However I had decided to use takeout. They have a vast menu of Vietnamese and sushi. I ordered a Bento Box even though that’s not what it’s called it’s a little bit of this and a little bit of that shrimp tempura. It was good and my only complaint is it was too much food.

Unfortunately it was an atrocious experience, we sat & quickly placed our order. 4 different tables came after us and they all got served BEFORE us. The heavy/taller waitress with black hair didn’t check in on us while we cluelessly waited for our food over 35min+ and when I tried asking her to see what was going on with the food she ignored my first two “ excuse me “. Not sure why she behaved like this with only us. Just a couple trying to have a nice date night & to be treated so poorly is unfair. She checked in all surrounding tables constantly walking past us , I asked why there was such a long wait, I got a side of attitude instead of apologizing for the ridiculous wait. Horrible way to operate a business

Great food , family owned. Delicious food made to order so there is some wait time.
The pork egg rolls are amazing with the fish sauce. And the 113 with the chargrilled chicken and pork is so delicious.

Should try it out!

Don’t let the outside appearance fool you! The food here was outstanding… Had a type of chicken ramen it was pretty good, but what really got me was the noodle bowl (had mine w/ beef & egg roll). It does come w/ a slightly sweet sauce on the side to pour, made it even better for me. The seasoning used on this dish though is top notch, & sad that I didn’t visit it sooner. Lastly the portions you get for the prices paid is very reasonable.
