I’ve eaten at a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in Edmonton and Saskatoon, and this is the only place I’ve found that makes this dish. It reminds me of Ho Chi Minh City, which is a big reason I keep coming back.
Also worth mentioning the owner, Lo Ann. She’s consistently positive and clearly passionate about the food and the restaurant, and that adds to the experience.
Highly recommend!!
I ordered the #16 Beef Satay Soup, and right away it stood out. The broth is not overpowered by peanuts like it is at so many other places. It’s rich, flavorful, and balanced. It was so good that I drank every single drop. The medium-rare beef was cooked perfectly, and the skinny pho noodles worked really well with the broth.
I also tried the #10 Pho Your Own Way with beef balls, and honestly, they crushed it. Beef ball soup is hard to mess up, but this one was incredibly flavorful and comforting. Everything about it just worked.
We also ordered the spring rolls, and they were excellent. They came out piping hot with a great crunch and really nice flavor. I appreciated that they were full-size spring rolls, not something that looks like it came out of a frozen bag. You can tell they’re made in-house.
Both broths were unbelievably tasty, and the portion sizes are massive. You definitely get your money’s worth here. A small but cool detail I noticed was that the dishes are branded with their logo, which shows attention to detail.
Service was great. Friendly, fast, and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was also really nice. Clean space, lovely decor, and some smooth jazz playing in the background made it a relaxing place to eat.
If you haven’t been to Saigon Taste yet, you need to go. Easy 10 out of 10.
P.S. Number 14 in menu(photo 1) is my favorite just love at the first spoon
nummy- chicken noodle broth feels like the warm comfort of a loved one’s embrace after a cold rainy day. The noodles are softened to perfection as it sits with the savoury chicken and veggies. The portion is generous and leaves nothing to be desired.
the spring rolls is flavoured nicely as well and has the perfect crunch. the service is always so lovely, a very comfortable environment to be in. definitely not pricey at all for 2 people it’s around $30
i could definitely come here every night :3 it’s also convenient that it’s open for late hours especially after work it hits the spot!! (。•̀ᴗ-)✧
