I did enjoy the bowl of Pho, it was odd having the bean sprouts served in a plastic bag, instead of on a side plate.. I am used to having Thai basil as a side aswell, this is the only place that has not served it with the pho. Also there were little containers in the plastic bag for a small portion of hot sauce and hoisin…I did not order takeout, I ate in… I think it would be less wasteful to just have hoisin and hot sauce at the tables. I probably won’t go back, I’d like to try other places in Duncan. There is very limited seating, as it is quite small… but if you’re looking for something hearty and delicious then this is an alright place.

Not fancy, reasonably priced- fast, fresh and delicious. For eat in, take out or delivery, a fantastic spot for authentic Vietnamese food. I say that just having returned from a business trip to Vietnam and while there I was thinking that the food at Saigon Subs, rivalled all of the places that my local colleagues took me for meals. Try the Pork Banh Mi, the Beef Pho or any of the Rice Plates and you won’t regret taking the time to check out this place. Also, in a hurry and want to take away- I tried one of the frozen Pho Kits, I got the Beef Pho Kit and it was super easy to prepare and really, really good. Family owned, super nice, comfortable place for lunch or dinner.

We discovered Saigon Subs from an annual craft fair in Nanaimo. We bought several of the frozen soup kits that they were selling and were hooked. Whenever we are in Duncan we stock up on more as they make for a delicious, nourishing lunch.

Best pho on the island !!! Super wonderful experience. The costumer service is grate and the food is even better. I have tried Saigon subs several times, and every time they are on point. Super flavourful and perfectly cooked. The pho has a rich broth and come with lots of meat. The vermicelli bowl is the same, lots of shrimp and very well seasoned. I also tried the pre-made frozen pho. This was super easy to make and proved lots of flavour, even after being frozen. The value is great as the pho makes a large portion for the price. The cooking directions were easy to follow and the pho came out perfect. Overall I loved my experience with Saigon subs, and would definitely recommend, 10/10.

Calling this a Large Halifax Donair is a stretch. Very small for the price, no flavor, dried out, not on pita bread. Kind of embarrassed for them that they’d serve this.

Delicious bowl of steaming rare beef pho from two very hardworking female staff. Hit the spot on a rainy damp day. I also wound up buying 4 packs of the frozen version to go! My partner had the lemongrass chicken which was not as flavourful.

I love coming here I get the snack size donair but I get it with only lettuce and sauce because I don’t like tomatoes. Staff is always nice and welcoming I’m very proud to be a supporter of this shop.
