The food is delicious and the portion is very generous. We just celebrated the Lunar New Year/birthday here. Kevin (the manager) and his team did an outstanding job with the food and the service.

1 of few places that offers specific Vietnamese dishes that I’ve come across. located in a busy, busy section of downtown (is it downtown? I’m not from the area) Alexandria. plenty of foot traffic and very difficult to find parking. gotta park a block or 2 away or lucky to find closer but paid meter parking.

the restaurant is cozy. modern. very cleaned and warm. I usually get my usual but since it was dinner, I decided to go for a hearty meal w rice. surprisingly, they offered bo luc lac w actual WATERCRESS! that’s how it should be…not a bed of onions & peppers – that’s PEPPER STEAK! however, their dish is half and half but I tried it out. steak was cooked well, juicy, flavorful, and tender. quite an abundance amount of veggies, mostly lettuce. I did enjoyed it but IMO not worth the price…maybe under $20 would’ve been fair.

also got their grilled pork spring rolls and coffee. both were delicious. the pork was had a sweet and savory flavor. coffee had a nice strong aroma and good balanced w the condensed milk.

since the main entree wasn’t filling me up, I ordered a pork chop w rice dish since it comes w 2 pieces. sadly, when I got home only to find the 2nd piece was extremely smaller than the main piece – highly disappointed. I hope dining in won’t have the same experience. didn’t try it yet but figured I should note this down while it’s fresh.

overall, I would entertain this place again. experiment w their other dishes. definitely worth it since the food was good. give it a shot!

I ordered a to-go banh mi and it was great, definitely the best I have ever had. Everything is just perfect. I usually do not like mayonnaise but theirs is just so light and flavorful. 10/10. Will visit next time here as well.

I went with a friend to Saigon Rolls today for lunch. Straight away, we loved the ambiance, and we enjoyed the service. We tried the spring shrimp rolls, the clay baked fish, and the lemon grass tofu. All were excellent! Everything was hot and fresh. The shrimp rolls had a lovely crispy crunch, the fish was piping hot but still the perfect texture – not overcooked. The lemongrass tofu was the best I’ve ever had. It had a lovely aromatic flavor I’ve never tasted before but couldn’t get enough of. The portions were really generous, and we ended up having to take half of it home. Both mains came with sides of steamed broccoli and bok choy, which were cooked to perfection. We are excited to go back!

This place is a gem. The beef banh mi? Total showstopper—crispy bread, juicy beef, and flavors that pop with every bite. The pho lineup is just as impressive; my crew tried a few different bowls and not a single drop went to waste.

Pro tip: Don’t feed the meters. Park a few blocks out, save your cash, and call it your warm-up walk before the feast.

Highlights:
• Beef banh mi that slaps
• Pho with depth and variety
• Prime old town spot
• Free parking if you’re savvy

I’ll be back—probably sooner than I should admit.

bit into a piece of plastic baked into my bahn mi (the gap in the bread is where it was before I pulled it out)

edit: I went back to try the bun bo hue and another bahn mi and they were fantastic!! they also gave me a refund pretty quickly after I initially posted this and were really helpful – they mentioned that they get their bread from another supplier so I think my first experience was just a bad fluke that they didn’t have any control over

Great food! Maybe the best Bánh mì sandwich around. I had the pork Bánh mì and my wife had the chicken. Large portions of protein on both. The summer rolls were much larger than other Vietnamese restaurants around. My new local go to!

Absolutely delicious food, great service, and convenient location in the heart of Old Town. My friend and I shared Chicken with Ginger ($18) and Caramelized Fish in Clay Pot ($20). Creamy Thai Ice Tea was $5. Perfectly wonderful lunch.
