We ordered our food and waited close to 30 minutes. There was only one waitress and the dinner crowd was steadily building up. I was getting a little impatient, but when the food came out, it was really good. I guess it made up for the wait. Sadly, I think the pandemic caused the shortage of help, so there was a long wait. But, the food was really good!

First time eating here. The waiter was very attentive and courteous. I ordered the Vietnamese Sandwich from the appetizer section on the menu. Oh my it was yummy!
I also ordered the Shrimp Pho Soup. I’m very impressed with the flavor. I recommend this restaurant, and I’m definitely coming back to eat.
I ate all my soup and sandwich

I ordered the Vietnamese Salted Lemonade and the Basil Fried Rice. I came with a party of about 10 others, it took over an HOUR to receive our food! The Salted Lemonade is exactly how it sounds, it tastes like salted water with a light lemon taste. I let others in my party taste it and no one seemed to like it. My Basil Fried Rice, had nice texture and came out hot, but it was too spicy with the Jalapeño sauce. I could not hardly taste the veggies and chicken in my rice because the spice was overwhelming it. Inside the restaurant its not very bright, there are shades on the windows, very dim lights overhead, and for some reason the ceiling is painted a very dark red which makes it feel even darker. The floor was uneven and I noticed in spots that it was hollow. They do have a koi fish fountain at the entrance which is a nice touch. There were only two other customers in the entire restaurant and it still took 65 minutes to get our food. Not acceptable.

Decent Vietnamese food for takeout. Ordered the pho, porkchop and rice, and deep fried chicken wings. Flavors are there and better than expected. Very short-staffed but not their fault.

They don’t have some rare dishes listed on the menu like quails or beef in betel leaves, but their beef jerky with sticky rice is delicious. Their sour and sweet soup with catfish is one of the very rare that do not put sugar in the soup, rather they use the sweetness of pineapple . The sour and sweet soup goes with a dish of fish sauce 🙂 you know they are authentic.
Their shrimp and fish are very fresh. I love their seafoods.
The two waiters are very attentive and gentle. The serving speed is fast.

I LOVE Saigon! It’s a gem hiding in plain sight. They have THE best Thai tea and their pho portion is huge yet inexpensive. I personally order a noodle stir fry and it’s unlike anything I’ve ever had. I would drink their gyoza dipping sauce if they let me.
We are usually served by Anna who is always respectful and kind. Saigon is definitely in my top 5 restaurants in Amarillo.

Phenomenal, authentic Vietnamese food! Will be coming back again and again to have more of their delicous food. My dad had the banh canh cua and loved it! Prices are very reasonable and the portions are plentiful!

The food was okay, $8 for a bowl of beef noodle. The service wasn’t that good. I had to ask several time to get chopstick and spoon. I can’t eat noodle with metal folk and spoon, c’mon. I need chopstick and soup spoon.
