I’m still working my way through the menu but im hopelessly hooked on vientamese food and this restaurant is one of the best of them. owner is very friendly. Love this place

I lived in Houston (the city with the biggest Vietnamese population) with my Vietnamese best friend for 6 years. We got Vietnamese food every Sunday. Since I’ve moved to the northeast, I haven’t had good Vietnamese food for months, especially bahn xeo. Saigon changed this. Saigon has absolutely fantastic Vietnamese food, and I’ll be happy to drive 40 minutes to have it anytime. The banh xeo was fantastic, well stuffed, and very crisp. Their pho and bun bo hue was great, although I did wish the bun bo hue had blood cubes in it. Would highly recommend visiting!

Great hole in the wall with delicious and authentic meal selections for very reasonable prices. The service is very quick, and it is obvious that they cater to large lunch crowds during the work week. Their Vietnamese coffee is really excellent, and complements the dishes very well. It’s located in a commercial area, but it is a must go for anyone liking Asian food. Next time, we will try one of their Pho, which most other customers had. I am looking forward to it!

This is a hidden gem in a small strip mall! We have eaten here many times over the past 10 years and owners are very friendly, fast, and food very good. We always get the A2 Cold Shrimp, rice, lettuce, rice paper & peanut sauce; and A3 Crispy Rolls with Cilanto and Lettuce to wrap with dipping sauce (appetizers). Every table also has Hoisin sauce, soy sauce, Sriracha, etc. Our favorite main meals are D4 Seafood with Crispy noodles; D12, the same meal with soft yellow noodles OR choose beef or chicken instead of the seafood. We love the soups (Pho) which are huge. If you like spicy yellow curry, there are both dinner plates with beef or chicken and a lunch plate with calamari, rice, lettuce, tomato slices (entire menu served all day.) Owner greets patrons from behind counter as you enter; within moments of sitting down, a server brings menus and hot tea in stainless steel pot. We hadn’t been there in months and the owner actually remembered that we usually came with our grown daughter and was looking for her too (now lives out of state.) Small place, about 12 nice tables, highly recommend this hidden gem! (5 stars for menu items we’ve had; many we haven’t tried!)

Honestly I wouldn’t go here. Food was not fresh, Pho was very average…lacking flavor and missing cilantro and lime (they gave us lemons which is close but not quite it IMO). Overall place was pretty lackluster unfortunately. 🙁

The food here is so bad. Come here if you want someone to make watery broth for you and charge you $14. It’s very clear that they are trying to cheap out on every little thing whenever possible. Iceberg lettuce instead of actual lettuce, black and wilted cilantro, old and off-tasting meat.

What a find! We really enjoyed our dinner at Saigon restaurant, and we’re truly surprised by the way the evening turned out. We had plans for another restaurant and another cuisine, but when they called to tell us they had a large party coming in, we decided to try something new: so glad we did! Saigon is a small storefront in a mostly industrial neighborhood, a true diamond in the rough. The decor is simple but clean. The staff is small but ever accommodating and pleasant. And the food! The food is excellent. I can’t say we are experts on Vietnamese food, but we’ve been to enough phò places to know what we like and how it should taste. My wife and I agreed that this is the best Vietnamese we’ve ever had.

First time I ordered to take out so I didn’t get to enjoy dining in. But quality is great & good. They’re very generous with their meats when you order their large size of Pho (Pho Xe Lua), their vegetarian Canh Chua (sour tangy vegetable soup) was delicious, naturally sweetened by the pineapple. The spring rolls (not egg rolls) have their own spin to it, it’s pudgy, has thinly sliced eggs in it. They also make their own chili sauce instead of the sambaal chili sauce Vietnamese people usually use. Dining in, my little sister ordered seafood noodles with broth – delightful, my little brother enjoyed the Bun Bo Hue (beef stew with noodles, their meat is super tender, soft & chewy!!!), and I love their Pho. It has the right amount of seasoning, it’s not your homemade pho but it sure fixes the pho craving. Their avocado smoothie is fresh, durian smoothie isn’t fresh from fruit but still refreshing, their coffee is a classic strong French-Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. Everything is enjoyable in this mom&pop restaurant. Feels like home since I moved far away from Jersey City.

My girlfriend and I adore this place. We eat here anytime we are up in this part of NJ. It’s been at least 6 months since we moved to South Jersey and we just had a pho craving and had to go to Saigon. The lady that we always order from remembered what I order and it was ready within minutes of us walking in the door.
