We had the peppered calamari which was super tasty . We also had fried chicken had nice sou glaze and crispy garlic. I tried one of the special the Vietnamese paella it was very large and flavorful. We also had a bah mi sandwich it was light and fresh.
We want to try some more dishes
Hands down the best fried rice I’ve ever had. You HAVE to try it!
The pho was amazing too 🙂 super rich broth and a generous portion.
Definitely one of the best spots in Fort Lee. Highly recommend
Had their chicken special made with Hue flavors. The food was good, wished a bit more spicy, but I am also certain my spice levels are much more elevated than most.
The service was efficient and pleasant.
I will have to come back and have the pho s this appears to be the meal of choice by most.
The food itself leans more towards the sweet and savory side rather than being salty. While this flavor profile might be a matter of personal preference, I enjoyed it. The prices are also quite reasonable for the quality and portion size.
One small point of feedback would be regarding the cleaning process. While I appreciate their thoroughness in cleaning tables after guests leave, the smell of the cleaning spray was a bit strong and noticeable during my meal, which was slightly distracting.
Overall, it was a positive experience. I would definitely consider coming back again when I’m in the mood for Vietnamese food.
We ordered their spring rolls, salad rolls, and lemongrass wings for appetizers and for entrees, we tried their BBH, vermicelli bowl, and fried rice. Their spring rolls were solid but I felt like the rice paper was a bit hard. Their other appetizers were also decent but nothing crazy. Their entrees were really good portions and full of meat and veggies, which I loved. Although the BBH broth wasn’t bad, I noticed that they used the wrong type of noodle for the soup (they used pho noodles). Their vermicelli bowl was good though! And, their fried rice (which I typically wouldn’t order) was actually a favorite at our table.
I really like a certain depth of flavor in the broth from certain restaurants. Not all pho is made equal! What I like about the broth here at Saigon Kitchen is that it has a savory, light, slightly sweet and very aromatic taste.
As far as other details, I feel we usually have a good time coming here because they have a large seating area, a visually appealing menu that makes it easy to see what you’re ordering, and friendly staff.
I was slightly surprised that I hadn’t yet gotten around to writing a review here given how much we like coming here… but that’s fixed now.
Highly recommended! Looking forward to coming back again soon.
