So lucky to have this Vietnamese cuisine here in Topeka! Spring rolls are the best in town, I think their peanut sauce has to do with that. Their pho is good but I favor discovering their various Vietnamese dishes. Take an adventure and taste something new!

This restaurant is typical of most Asian eateries in mid-America where there is a mixture of many Asian cuisines served under one roof; in this case, Chinese and Vietnamese dishes. I ordered both and they were flavorful. The stir-fried noodle was a tad salty, but the pho was interestingly delicious. The beef slices in the pho were tenderised and pre-cook. The staff are friendly, quick, and professional. I’d return for more of their dishes like the lemon grass chicken.

Great food and even better service.

Let’s start out with the “bad” I don’t really have anything to compain about, just some things that may improve the experience. For one, the pho was great, but I have some issues with the additives on the side. I like spicy foods, so when I saw they had put peppers of some sort on the side I was excited. But I was a bit disappointed to find out they were just jalapenos. Most pho places I have been to have a pepper tray so you can choose a pepper with whatever level of spice you want. Like I said though, small quips really. I know it isn’t financially viable for smaller places to have trays of fresh cut exotic peppers so that some random person can spice things up a bit more than normal.

Now for the good, and there is a lot of it.

We came in and were sat immediately. Drinks came within two minutes and appetizers came just a few minutes after that. We had Pho and summer rolls with some iced vietnamese coffee. Absolutely amazing, the summer rolls were huge! They had three whole shrimps and were about as big as a perrier slim can. The peanut sauce I will admit was a bit salty, but I just used less of it and it was fine. The coffee was phenomenal, very rich dark brew contrasted greatly by the sweet creamy condensed milk at the bottom. Very simple drink, but very satisfying. And finally, the best part. The pho. I was a bit sceptical at first, I’ve never seen lime and jalapeno used in pho before. But it came together in the best way possible. Great flavors and extremely well balanced. The soup was nice and salty, which worked great with the fresh crisp taste of the bean sprouts and cilantro.

I definitely will be going again. I hope to try more items and will update my review as I do.

This is definitely one of those hidden gems the locals know. It does not immediately impress from the outside, but the food is pho-nomenal. We started with the fried dumplings and crab rangoon (with big flakes of crab, much better than other places). Both were cooked perfectly. We then tried the pho, which by itself is a good enough reason to come. It’s exactly the warm and soothing broth you’d hope for. We finished with fried sesame balls filled with a sweet bean paste. It was a great meal at a great price. It’s no wonder it a steady stream of carry outs and mostly full tables even on a Wednesday night.

A bowl of Pho is good anytime day, night, winter, summer. A good Summer Roll is hard to beat.

Wouldn’t recommend ordering extra meat as they will charge you for it but you won’t see it. Summer rolls are terrible and the peanut sauce is beyond terrible. The fried chicken for sweet and sour was very hard and old. The price was really high for the small amount of food we could actually eat compared to what we ordered. Staff was OK. Seasonings were very faint. A couple missing items. No reason for us to order from them in the future. Would not refer someone to this place. I have no idea how they have such high ratings. Definitely not worth the hype.

Tastes about as good as anything I’ve had back home! The Pho, Hu Thieu, Goi Cuon, Cha Gio, and Crab Rangoons were delicious. They are going through something right now but I am hopeful for their return.

Made me so sad but all of the food was overcooked or tasted stale. Not sure if it was an off day but it was our first time and we ordered take out. Couldn’t even finish all the food and ordered 4 different meals for the family. Have wanted to try it for so long.

I love this place, I really do! Honestly, great food & friendly owners! However, this place is never open. It’s like rolling dice every time I go. It doesn’t even surprise me anymore when they randomly close. I don’t know how they support their business, plus its inconsistent/randomly open days have left me as an unsatisfied customer. The sign on their door says sorry for the inconvenience however its more about bad business policies than it is an actual inconvenience. I’ll still eat there, but it’s not worth the frustration and time of being my first choice.
