Staff were welcoming, friendly, and efficient.
Menu was great, something for everyone.
Food was absolutely delicious! Real depth of flavour, not just ‘heat’. Portions were the perfect size.
Plus – they’ve just had a new air con system installed which was absolute heaven on a 34° evening!
We shared Poppadoms and Dips to start. The best part of any meal in my opinion. The Spiced Onions looked homemade which was a nice touch, they tasted very fresh. A decent portion as well.
The menu was extensive with a large range of tandoori dishes and curries. We both went for something different that we havent seen back home. Laura had the Chicken & Cheese Tikka which was served on a sizzling platter with onions and peppers. She also added a side of Masala sauce and Egg Pilau Rice to accompany her main. I ordered the Keshuri Chicken which was coated in a cashew nut sauce. It was gorgeous, paired with a Side Salad and Mixed Raita. Of course we had a naan bread to share and chose the Garlic & Cheese Naan.
The service was spot on, the wait staff kept our glasses topped up with Cava and offered us a shot on the house to finish our meal. The restaurant was busy which is always a good sign. We were deafted by the meal as the portion sizes were very generous, this would be ideal for sharing as a family.
Will be back for more in a couple of days.
Many thanks to a wonderful team!
We weren’t coming here but after walking by and being engaged by a friendly young member of staff we took a menu and wandered off to Google the reviews….
Shortly afterwards we returned and had a great meal with me having lamb handi and my wife chicken padanda as main courses….both meals were exquisite in both taste and quality and we can only recommend this place highly to anyone wanting a tasty well priced quality indian meal
The ‘boss’ was engaging and sat briefly with us and was both friendly and entertaining before we ate. Excellent food from a clean well set out business…thankyou
What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff went above and beyond to make me and my party feel special. They were attentive, friendly, and even surprised me by singing Happy Birthday and bringing out a cake! It made the evening unforgettable.
I’d highly recommend Sai to anyone visiting Cala de Mijas. Whether you’re looking for a special occasion meal or just a great dining experience, this place delivers on all fronts!
Forgot how good it is!
Nicely refurbished. The food was fabulous and the service was brilliant too.
Previously, as it had been a many years this was my colleagues and my go to restaurant on our first night in La Cala, however, someone needs to tell them that in November to close the front door. Though they will claim it is not so to revert to the previous portion sizes as they have obviously in the last twelve months decreased in size.
Previously the idea of going to Sai was for a good quality meal in a quietish atmosphere, however, someone has decided to spoil the atmosphere be employing a belly dancer, and considering the size of Sai and the quality of the belly dancer the two do not mix, hence much to are chagrin we will be dining at an alternative Indian restaurant next year.
We had Lamb Hadrabadhi by recommendation from the very attentive staff, as well as a variety of starters and main dishes. The samosa had a very tasty filling, both the meat and the vegetable ones, and the onion bhaji and accompanying sauces were delicious.
The dishes were also exactly the level of spiciness requested.
Great choice, totally recommend it!
