Went to Sahm’s Haven on Friday, 09/12/25. What an amazing location with equally amazing food! When my family of six first walked in the door (after admiring the beautiful lake), we requested to be seated on the balcony so we could take in the view. Our awesome host quickly seated us, and our spectacular waitress (Rebecca) was quick to take our drink and food order. I ordered the chicken tenders for an appetizer and it came so fast. Those buffalo tenders were AMAZING!
Shortly after, we were greeted by the rest of our order…all delivered with those patented Sahm’s Haven smiles. It didn’t take any time at all. I had the pork tenderloin (which was our entire purpose for coming here) and everyone else had various combo meals (Kids Cheeseburger Meal, Fresco melt w/Fries, Chicken Tenders w/Fries, Carolina Roll w/mac n cheese and BBQ Chicken Wings). I have to tell you (and you can see by the pics) the presentation was outstanding, and the food tasted as great as it looks.
The tenderloin was the typical over the edge size, and was crisp and flavorful. The kids cheeseburger meal earned high accolades from my 11 year old, who rarely finishes a meal, but she cleaned THIS plate. The Fresco Melt and Carolina Roll also gained high praise from my 16 and 17 year old, and my wife…a certifiable chicken wing connoisseur, couldn’t stop raving about how full of flavor the wings and tenders were. My youngest also cleaned his plate of his chicken tenders, which is a rare occurrence indeed!
All in all, this was definitely worth the one hour drive to get there and the tremendously beautiful view only added icing to the cake. As far as dessert, we were all just too full from all of that food to partake, but you can bet yer britches we will next time…and there will DEFINITELY be a next time. We loved this place and the staff!

Lovely retreat from the city and felt like we were at a beachside town. The food portions were huge and the specials were great. We came from Half Pint Brewing Company in Indy which is also owned by Sahms and while the bbq at the brewery blew us away (seriously good), the same deal offered here was just ok. Brisket was dry and the Mac and cheese was different. I liked the pizza and the spicy cauliflower appetizer and our server was great. Bbq might’ve been a hit or miss but would come back for the great food and atmosphere.

We have dined here several times, and unfortunately each visit has been more disappointing than the last.
On our most recent visit, our server started off friendly and attentive, which gave us hope for a better experience. However, the service quickly declined.
Our entire table ordered at the same time, yet two meals arrived far earlier than the others. When the remaining meals finally came out, they were incorrect and had to be sent back, causing an even longer delay. After that point, our server rarely returned to the table. We were not asked how our food was, whether we needed refills, or if we wanted boxes when we finished. Basic table service was simply missing.
In addition, we ordered three glasses of wine, and each pour was noticeably different in size, none appearing to be a standard serving. Being charged $11 per glass for inconsistent pours was disappointing and felt unreasonable.
Dining out is about the overall experience, not just the food, and unfortunately this visit fell far short.
Because of the consistently declining service, not only have you lost our business, but also the business of the friends who joined us that evening. We genuinely hoped for better, but we will not be returning.

I brought my family here while we were just out driving around and so glad we stopped here. The food was great and our server was kind fast and helpful.
The atmosphere reminds me of an early 2000s Australian TV show and it is so cool. We cannot wait to come during the summer. We hear that the rooftop outdoor seating is amazing.
Definitely recommend.

We had heard great things about their pork tenderloin, so we drove 1 1/2 hours to try it out. We sat outside and had a great lakeside meal. Our server was wonderful, a young man who graduated from ISU in Terre Haute. The food was exceptional. One of the small things that really made a difference was there wonderfully toasted bun. Probably the best bun I have ever had.

This is our fist visit and it definitely did not disappoint. Staff was very friendly. Our waitress Anna was very knowledgeable on the menu and explained everything to us. Definitely will be coming back. We sat inside this time but they have a very beautiful outside area with a view of the lake. You can watch the boat come and go.

The food and the selection is good. Service is hit or miss based on how busy they are. But if you like to drink water with your dinner then stay away from this place! Their water tastes like it came straight out of the lake. It’s disgusting. It has been disgusting since we started going there almost three years ago. It’s hard to believe that management doesn’t know about it. They must think it drives beer sales but it really just drives people away.

I’ve been to your restaurant about 5 times now. Although food is exceptional but overpriced the service has been less than expressive each time. Not checking back in a timely manner, not receiving our food all at the same time after waiting for a long period of time for it in the first place , not asking how our food was or if we needed refills on drinks etc.
Unfortunately, will not be back. These are a few issues just to name a few.
