Sahara Palace was honestly amazing! Every single dish was so delicious and the service was top notch. This was my first time eating here and I was truly impressed. The homemade pickles and homemade hummus was fantastic, with their unique flavors. My waiter was also the owner and let say this, It’s not the typical greeting you’d find in a customer service manual. Rick was highly friendly and really wonderful to talk to. He was very personable and super gracious throughout my dining experience. I dropped a little over $50 for two people, but I got what I paid for!

We love Mediterranean cuisine so we were looking specifically for an authentic Mediterranean restaurant. The hummus is absolutely delicious!!! We stopped here while traveling & really enjoyed it all. We tried beef and chicken kabobs, hummus, rice, salad, Greek salad, soup, baklava, and tea. Everything was very flavorful and so so good. The staff were attentive and really pleasant, the size of portions were big & we enjoyed our leftovers too. We will definitely stop again when in the area and look forward to trying more of their amazing and healthy food!

Our first time and we were very happy with our experience. Restaurant was clean and we were greeted as soon as we came in. All of the patrons already in there seemed relaxed and comfortable which made us feel that way, too. The older gentleman who took our order was very kind and came by a few times to make sure we were happy with our dishes. We got the chicken shwarma and chicken tandoori which were both delicious we also got the falafel which were definitely my favorite part along with the garlic and tahini sauce! The salad and rice that came with the meals were very good and well seasoned. Looking forward to coming back and trying more things!

hands down my favorite restaurant in rockford. everyone who works there is so welcoming and friendly. i recently had a small catering order and they took the time to sit down and go over budget, pricing, best food pairings, and just had a nice conversation.

the food is so fresh and flavorful. the chicken is moist and the hummos is the perfect texture. truly can’t recommend this place enough

We grabbed the 5-meat combo and some soup. Everything was amazing.

The meats are all done well and perfectly spiced. And we couldn’t get enough of the rice!

The soup was quite good, but I don’t feel like it was worth the price.

Pickup was easy and fast.

Amazing food! I love to get the Taouk Chicken entree which comes with the Arabic salad. The salad is so fresh and delicious. The Taouk Chicken is very flavorful and juicy. I love to use the garlic sauce on the chicken and rice too. Their baklava is also amazing! Everyone is so nice here too.

What a wonderful experience!!
At Sahara restaurant with Bruce and Kevin….and this was wonderful food!! We had gyros, baba ghanouj, foul (Mediterranean spiced fava beans with spices, garlic, lemon), Jerusalem salad, Taboula and falafil…..YUM!!!

The owner is a treasure!!
