If you’re lucky enough to sit at the bar at Sage, make sure Ike is working. He’s hands-down one of the best bartenders around.
Ike has that rare mix of skill, personality, and genuine hospitality that turns a good night out into a great one. His cocktails are fantastic—perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and clearly made by someone who really knows his craft. But what really makes him stand out is how welcoming and engaging he is with everyone at the bar.
Whether you’re a regular or visiting for the first time, Ike makes you feel like you belong there. Great conversation, great drinks, and a great atmosphere. Sage is already a wonderful spot, but Ike behind the bar takes the whole experience to another level.

Sage Cocktail Lounge is a hidden gem in downtown Winter Haven! The place is impeccably clean, with reasonable prices that make it feel like a great value for the quality. The atmosphere is perfect—great music, relaxed yet upscale vibe, and fantastic service all around.
But the real standout was bartender Nick. He was phenomenal—super friendly and engaging socially, incredibly skilled at his craft, and even took the time to experiment with creative new drink combinations to elevate the whole experience. Best sophisticated and luxurious atmosphere for amazing cocktails in Winter Haven. In town for a networking meeting and wanted a chill place to chat and enjoy a little downtime. Amazing vibe with outstanding bartenders especially Nick & Amanda! She made me a fantastic dirty martini and he made my first smoked old fashion! OUTSTANDING! Epitome of service and quality! Highly recommend!

After dinner we decided to try out this new cocktail lounge called Sage. We were not disappointed!! As soon as we opened the door we were met by this aroma that immediately relaxed us. The bartender said it is pumped in through the A/C. The decor is simple and welcoming. The illuminated bar is a nice touch. The staff welcomes you right away. They are friendly and very attentive. We carried on a couple conversations with our bartender while she mixed drinks. I had the Florida Old Fashion and she had the Sage Standard. Both were perfection in a glass! Artfully crafted by our bartender! We sampled the Brewed Awakening. That will most definitely be one of our choices on our next visit! They offer several signature cocktails, classic cocktails, mocktails, and a nice selection of beer and wine. If you’re a bourbon or scotch person they have a great selection of some top shelf bourbon and scotch. We’re talking Blantons, EH Taylor, Eagle Rare, McCallen, and Red Breast. Sage is a welcome addition to downtown Winter Haven. A nice relaxed atmosphere and amazing crafted drinks! Good spot to meet up with friends or just to have a night cap after dinner like we did! We will.most definitely be back. A lot!

Last night at Sage’s soft opening was pure magic! The Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned was bold and flawless, and their signature Raspberry Infused Gin Sour was a smooth sweet and tangy, vibrant masterpiece. The decor is drop-dead gorgeous—those hanging swing chairs are a total vibe for unforgettable photos! And the team were so welcoming and lively atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and visit Sage for cocktails and Insta-worthy moments!

I understand that this first part can be because I am a carpenter’s wife; however, as soon as you walk in, you can smell the effort that went into simply creating this place. The craftsmanship was flawless, thus making the atmosphere inviting and absolutely beautiful. Aside from that, I noticed right away that nearly every employee made eye contact with me as I walked in, making me feel that they were attentive to customers. Within minutes I had my drink of choice in front of me and despite my order being placed, I was constantly checked on. Lilly was one of the frequent bartenders that checked on me and she was great! She gave me her highs and lows of drinks and comparisons to flavors. They currently do not serve food however, are working on serving charcuterie boards. I look forward to going back with friends and loved ones, this is definitely a great addition to downtown Winter Haven.

My friends and I had a great time at Sage! The drinks were great. The atmosphere was amazing and it smells soooo good! Their bathroom is also very clean. Nick is THE BEST bar tender! He took great care of us.
