Supe disappointed with the sashimi and nigiri. Couldn’t eat eat a good third of them because of poor filleting and cleaning, which resulted in extremely chewy and grisly parts of the fish. I was really excited to try it, but very disappointed. I dont recommend the sushi.

This is Alameda’s best kept secret. Amazing food. Quality quality quality. Whether you’re with friends or want to watch a game, this is the place to be. Gilbert is warm and inviting. Shirely provides amazing food. Everyone here has been so nice. Come and enjoy.

We had dinner here and ordered Tokyo Shoyu Ramen , House Tonkotsu, Soboro Don with Crab Cream Croquette, and Spicy Tuna Roll. The crab croquettes were fantastic and the other dishes were really good.

We ordered our meals by scanning the QR Code and ordering online. You can then pay online or keep the tab open in case you want to order more. An employee brought us a bottle of water and drinking glasses. Eventually, a robot brought out our food. We had very little interaction with their employees due to all of the electronic systems in place.

They don’t have any professional sign posted outside the restaurant that says they are “SAGA Kitchen”. Until you walk up, you can see the food department sign posted on their window. So, it was a bit difficult to find this place at night when we parked across the street. We mainly found it through GPS and walking around. I would have given this restaurant 5 stars if it was easier to find.

SAGA is a great little, family-run restaurant with an interesting concept – 4 restaurants in one. It’s got a solid ramen offering, deliciously fresh sushi bowls, and even dim sum. Best of all, they’ve got a robot delivery cart that certainly starts a conversation. They’ve got limited outdoor seating and 2 buildings side-by-side with indoor seating.

Loved this place! Not sure why it’s only 3.9. There’s so many pros:

– eat combination of Japanese and Chinese food, huge menu
– dog friendly, even indoor!
– free dog treats
– free saga arcade game
– free choice of music
– cute decor/ambiance
– good service (gave us extra seaweed for free)
– easy online ordering

We got the treasure box, negi toro roll, XLB, miso soup and salted egg yolk bun. My favorites were the negi toro roll and the salted egg yolk bun, so good! Would definitely come back and try other things. Thanks SAGA kitchen for a fun and unique dinner experience!

So, I live just a hop, skip, and a jump away from this sushi joint, and I’ve swung by a few times before. But today, man, I woke up with a serious sushi craving that just wouldn’t quit. It was a lazy Sunday afternoon, and I figured, why not treat myself?

I decided to go all out and ordered the salmon and avocado roll, a spider roll (because who can resist that crispy soft-shell crab?), some miso soup, and a special sushi piece loaded with uni, ikura, and toro. Let me tell you, the sushi here is legit! The rolls were huge and packed with the freshest ingredients. Every bite was like a little party in my mouth. But the real showstopper was that special sushi piece. The uni, ikura, and toro combo was out of this world! It tasted like it was plucked straight from the ocean.

The only thing that was a bit of a bummer was the miso soup. Don’t get me wrong, it was still tasty, but I was kind of bummed that it didn’t have the usual tofu and seaweed that I’ve come to love.

Now, I placed my order through DoorDash, and even though the app said it was ready, I had to wait a few minutes when I got there. No biggie, though. I got to chill at the bar and watch the sushi chef do their thing. It was like watching an artist at work. Plus, the staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home.

The vibe of this place is pretty sweet, too. They’ve got plenty of seating inside and out, and the interior is just so dang cute and cozy. It’s definitely the kind of spot where you could hang out and enjoy your sushi without feeling rushed.

All in all, even with the minor hiccup with the miso soup and the short wait, this sushi spot is a total gem. The quality is top-notch, the portions are generous, and the service is on point. I know I’ll be coming back whenever that sushi craving hits again!

The spicy ramen here is SO GOOD. The broth is lick-the-bowl good. They even torch the char siu which gives it a great char taste (pun intended). Open late, all your different Asian food cravings in one neat spot, and for me it scratched that spicy, hearty ramen itch hard for me. Looking forward to coming back.

This spot is located in the corner of Lincoln and Grand. There’s limited parking outside the cafe/kitchen but it’s ok because right now they’re only doing take-outs/pick-ups and delivery. FYI, they do have three table settings outside the cafe….

My first time here. The place has different restaurants that are co-located that you can order from at the same spot.

We got the bento box from Gokiyoi, it had a variety of protein inside like fish, meat ball, egg, I think it had chicken and spicy noodle. Loved it all, would’ve tasted better if it the food was hot. But still tasty.

We also ordered Curry Rice w/Ebi, Fried Tofu w/Shrimp, Matcha and Hong Kong Style Tea. Love, love, love the fried tofu! Though I tasted mostly shrimp, I still loved it, love how it was crispy on the outside and meaty inside. For dessert we had 2 samples of the Artisan Macaron one of them was Cherry Blossom. It was ok, not too sweet, taste like a regular macaroon.

We want to give a shout out to Harry where we “experienced tea!” He was a delight! Very funny! Very knowledgeable about the tea as well! Keep that motivation Harry!!!

I waited a long time to try and finally made it. Wish I could say good things but overall, I was disappointed. Ebi Fry Bento had only one Ebi Fry instead of two as shown in the photo. Soboro and egg didn’t have an authentic Japanese taste, kinda dry, buttery taste. I liked the raumen container which separated the broth, but the taste was so-so and the chashu was dry. Hamachi negi and Ikura sushi tasted good but fell apart. I think I liked the shumai the best but even that doesn’t compare to other dimsum houses in Alameda. Maybe better if eaten at the restaurant and not take out.

Have authentic, fresh, tasty vietnamnese pho here. I also tried crispy spring rolls and chicken wings, which are awesome.
