Very clean beautiful place. I unfortunately ordered my hibachi steak medium rare and it came absolutely rare, barely cooked. When I brought the issue up to the waitress, she argued with me and tried to tell me that I was wrong and it was actually medium rare. Unacceptable. The steak was raw. She then had a very bad attitude upon delivering the check. The manager tried his hardest to rectify the situation, which I appreciate. He was as gracious as he could be. Saw a bunch of stunning reviews and I am sad I was so disappointed.

This place is awesome. The food was excellent, the staff are outstanding, the prices were spot on. Plenty of options to eat in a wonderful atmosphere with supremely talented chefs. Just an all around awesome experience. We can’t wait to do it again. Saga Fusion in Wareham, MA is #1

I wanted to love it. I love a good hibachi. There were a few things that might keep me from coming back soon/often.
Waitress was holding up a wall and staring directly at me as I ate. Hovering so close I could hear her breathing.
Food looked amazing and tasted good. Only problem was the amount of teriyaki that was plated made the protein overly saturated and the rice into a sponge.
I wanted to enjoy it more than I did. I’ll give it another chance.

Saga Review

We had a truly disappointing experience at Saga and will never return.

Our party of nine had a 5:30 PM reservation. We arrived two minutes early, though a few members of our group were still on their way due to Cape summer traffic. Immediately, we were told that unless the rest of our party could place their hibachi orders while driving, we’d risk losing our seats. We were also informed that guests are required to arrive 10–15 minutes early—something we were never told when making the reservation. If that’s truly the expectation, then our reservation should have been for 5:15, not 5:30. No worries though, our late arrivals sent in their order via text and arrived 10 minutes late. We had only ordered drinks and apps at that point and we were able to place their own dinner order. Everything seemed back to normal after ordering and started to enjoy the experience.

The food and cook were both good, but the overall experience was stressful, rushed, and uncomfortable. We were handed takeout boxes and bags as soon as our cooked food hit the table—before we’d even taken a few bites. Staff began stacking new place settings on the cooktop while we were still eating, blocking our view of half the group and making it abundantly clear they wanted us out. To make matters worse, the manager stood nearby and glared at us throughout the meal, adding to the tense atmosphere.

We took time-stamped photos that tell the story: we didn’t even start eating until 6:29 PM, and by 6:40 PM we were looking at a stack of new place settings on the grill. We were out the door by 6:47 PM. From arrival, to show, to meal, to boxing up—everything was crammed into under an hour and fifteen minutes. That’s simply not how a hibachi experience is meant to feel.

After leaving, one of our party went back in to politely confirm the reservation time—just in case it had mistakenly been made for 5:00 instead of 5:30. Rather than check calmly, the manager immediately insisted we were wrong and reiterated their early arrival policy. He also told us the next group had been waiting for 30 minutes—meaning he expected our entire experience, from arrival to entertainment to eating and packing up, to be finished in under an hour. That’s unrealistic and defeats the entire purpose of going to hibachi in the first place.

We didn’t go in looking for a fight. But the dismissive attitude, the glares, and the rush-job treatment made us feel like an inconvenience from the start. Saga may serve good food, but if you’re looking for a relaxed or enjoyable group dining experience, we strongly suggest going elsewhere.

My husband loves sushi and I’m allergic to shellfish, so I love when we find a place that can accommodate both of us. The sushi is fresh and decent in size. They have hibachi and other kitchen meals.

We had the pleasure of coming here for my sons 11th birthday his request. We had the whole habachi section to our selves as it wasn’t very busy. The waitress was amazing and super attentive. The cook was fun and playful my with kids and even gave them balloons. Overall we had a great experience and we will continue to make this our habachi spot

I went to dinner last night at Saga. I ordered the Shumai, Beef Asparagus, Miso Soup, & Seaweed Salad. Everything was delicious. For drinks, I ordered the Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri & Virgin Piña Colada. My server was nice. I noticed that there was a party in what looked to be a private dining area where a chef was cooking in front of the group & appeared to very entertaining. I’ll definitely be back

I typically get take out. The food is always delicious and fresh. I modify a thing or two and they are very accommodating. Tonight I forgot to modify but they caught it and I am very grateful and impressed. Thank you

We came to Saga Fusion as a group of 8 to celebrate my dad’s birthday. The hibachi chef was the highlight of the evening—engaging, talented, and attentive. We tipped him $20 because he was the only one who made the experience enjoyable.

Unfortunately, the rest of the service was seriously lacking. I didn’t get my bar drink until after we’d already had appetizers, soup, and salad—despite reminding both the host and our server. We asked for napkins and never received them. Had to get them from the hibachi chef. Same story as for the to-go boxes and refills we had to grab the busser—asked multiple times and eventually got them from someone walking by.

What really disappointed us was that no one acknowledged my dad’s birthday. We told the host when we arrived, but it clearly wasn’t communicated—or just ignored. Other tables around us were being celebrated with birthday desserts, while ours was completely overlooked.

Food was good. The chef was great. But the overall service experience was unacceptable.
