I am a college student who hasnt eaten much Indian food in my life, but this restaurant was a great introduction to the food! I ordered the butter chicken full meal and paid $18 for it. Its not too pricey, especially because theres enough food for two meals! I will definitely be back to try another dish on the menu !

The food was amazing! We ordered the spicy butter chicken, which was incredibly creamy and perfectly balanced with the heat. The lamb biryani was equally delectable. I wish I could share a picture of the food, but we devoured it all before I could take a photo! It was a truly memorable meal.

The food was really delicious, and it came very quick. The kathi rolls had perfectly crisp vegetables to offset the bread, which was nice and soft. The paneer/chicken was well-seasoned, spicy and balanced. I will say, the rolls were quite small. The butter chicken came out steaming, and it was also delicious. The chicken was generous and the curry was nicely spiced. The portion size of the curry is really good, as well.
The staff are kind; Anant advised us on our choices and cracked some jokes, making the atmosphere friendly. You really need to give this place a try!
Also, for being a brand-new restaurant, they have done a really good job with the space. The paintings on the wall make it feel more open, and I appreciated the pictures of menu items.

Just got this chicken tikka and it is so good, kind of spicy but I am enjoying it very much. Edit: visited Saffron again and I just keep getting more impressed, food is always delicious and consistent. Staff is very friendly, and is there to help you if you have any questions and will also recommend things to you. I will be going to this place more frequently and I recommend everyone to try it! I hope this place stays in business forever!

Food is very tasty. And the service is excellent. We had paneer curry, lamb korma, and chicken 65 as an appetizer.
I told my wife that it reminded me of authentic cooking from back home. There are many Indian restaurants, but not all cook food authentic to Indian cuisine.
Make no mistake, this place is the real deal. The restaurant deserves steady business.

The workers were friendly and the food was decent. I cannot say it was stellar. The garlic naan, while garlicky, was also soggy. The lamb korma and chicken tikka masala were average taste. Overall, I’d say it was average but not the best Indian food experience.

It’s my son’s birthday this week so me and the family decided to come up to celebrate. He goes to UF. We eat Indian food all the time and we like to try and find a good restaurant in every city we go to. The google reviews seemed pretty good so we took a chance. This place was really good! The food was perfectly seasoned and all of the food was excellent. AK, the chef, was super friendly and made it a good night out. Every time we come back to Gainesville we will be eating here!

We were very satisfied with our experience from the time we walked in the door to leaving. My husband asked if they could make something not on the menu and they didn’t hesitate! I ordered my normal.butter chicken which was rich and flavorful. My husband ordered the lamb vindaloo which was also gorgeous is color and flavors. Very fast service and everything was HOT HOT HOT! We will definitely return when we are in the Gainesville area again!
