Once had a lunch at Saffron, then I became a regular guest. The dishes here taste fenomenal. Saffron’s super friendly chef seasons each dish with just the right amount of spices that give you a delightful aftertaste every time.

Secret ingredient here? Obviously, much attention to preparing your meal. BUT! Also… It’s the spice saffron – kicks in an uplifted mood right at the time when you’re enjoying your desert.

I highly recommend for everyone looking to enjoy a meal other than Czech cuisine. Quality service and fun staff.

If you’re looking for authentic Indian food, this is the place to go in Karlovy Vary. An excellent experience overall – truly authentic atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. You may have to wait a bit longer for the food, but the taste is absolutely worth it. In my opinion, it’s one of the most authentic Indian cuisines I’ve visited so far, and definitely worth trying.

I am always satisfied with the delicious chicken or pea soup, naan here is so yummy and all sauces I have tried in Saffron are outstanding. Highly recommend this place. The service is smiling, helpful, speaking English too.

Honestly, the whole experience was just top-notch, I couldn’t have asked for better. Definitely going back there soon for another amazing meal. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a great dining experience.

Delicious Mushroom Masala Curry!

I walked past this restaurant and saw that they have vegan options. I was not disappointed, I highly recommend the Mushroom Masala Curry and the Naan.

Nice Indian restaurant in Karlovy vary, near city centre. Ambiance is good and service is also ok (it takes some time to get the food since they cook it on the spot). I tried Butter Chicken, garlic naan bread and biryani rice.
They added a lot of coriander, although I have asked them not to. Even so, the food was delicious.

Delicious, authentic indian restaurant – great cuisine. We saw a lot of natives there – obviously, it has a good reputation among them as well. The Menu has many pictures, so people who can’t read Czech or English can navigate it easily too.

Halal restaurant in Karlovy Vary. We had korma chicken & butter chicken masala. It’s amazing. The waiters are also nice and friendly. The rice is so good, big portion for everything. The butter naan is so soft. Recommended!

Service was not good.. at all.
Server was not friendly and had an “I can’t be bothered” attitude, even though we were all friendly and smiling since we were so happy to FINALLY find Indian food.
He stayed seated when we walked in so we kind of weren’t sure if he works there or he’s eating there, just looked at us with a blank stare that made things a bit confusing
Also, I went to him to place my order, he made no effort to come take the order himself.

At the end, he huffed at us loudly when we were counting our money to pay the bill !! that’s why we decided to reduce his tip significantly )

The place was empty and there was no way to excuse this behavior by saying it was jam packed and he was under pressure..Maybe he was having a bad day or maybe that’s how his attitude is in general but this will drive customers away or not encourage them to come back.

We ordered a veg pakora and got a weird ball with what is most definitely chicken inside it. We ate that, its ok, we didn’t complain because we’re hungry.

The samosa is really good, has a good spice kick and comes with a nice tamarind sauce on the side.
The naan (plain, butter, and garlic) ALL very good.
The dhal makhani is an abomination and insult to authentic Indian food. It had red kidney beans in it and barely any spices?!
The tandoori chicken was ok.
The paneer was roasted over the fires of hell itself (hence they were a bit tough and dry)
The butter chicken was a bit on the sweet side BUT the only thing that I liked and tasted some true Indian spices and seasonings in.

The Chai Karak was good and a huge portion.

Toilets need to be dusted and cleaned. I had 4 spiders chilling with me in the toilet stall, but I prefer to go alone.

This place has potential for growth and improvement but it’s a definite no-go again for me.
