We don’t use common food allergens like nuts and raisins in our sauce preparations except for desserts. No sooner than you open the door you are hit with the intoxicating aromas of Indian spices and you just know that you’re in for some delicious food. The menu is rather extensive and full of options. They offer dishes that I’ve not seen before at other Indian restaurants and they are rather proud of the fact that they are Punjabi. (However I was mildly disappointed that no one was wearing the traditional Sikh. )The mango Lassi is so tasty, fresh, and smooth. The butter chicken has a rich depthness to it that just screams feed me Seymour. Both the goat and lamb are cooked to a tender consistency and have a marvelous flavor. But the coup de grace was the salmon; tender, flaky, and full of flavor. I’m rather picky about salmon but this was in a league of its own. It was cooked over the grill shish kabob style then added to the medley of onions, peppers, and a savory sauce. All of the appetizers were truly amazing but the samosas were on a whole other level than any that I’ve tried before. Their chutneys and sauces were delicious as well. They were perfectly balanced between adding extra flavor to your dish but without overpowering it and taking over your tastebuds. The Naan bread basket is totally worth it! Do not miss out on this treat of flavorful breads. Our wait staff was very attentive and made sure that we did not want for anything. The atmosphere was nice and modern. They had cloth napkins and tablecloths that they changed with each new place setting. The lighting provided plenty of light while lending to the aesthetics of the atmosphere. In just one visit this restaurant quickly became my favorite Indian restaurant.

I have been traveling here since a year but never knew about this place until this month. I had a take out of few appetizer. Samosa chat is one of the best I had in a long time. Absolutely delicious. Was not a great fan for chili paneer. Overall looking forward to trying more dishes.

High quality food with reasonable price. Best spot to stop by for lunch if your going on long drive on i95. They have good lunch menu. We just called in and ordered 15 minutes prior to reaching there and food was ready by the time we arrived. Highly recommended!

Excellent food and excellent customer service. Very attentive without hovering. My husband and I have been here more than once and will be back again! The food is delicious and came quickly. The ambiance is nice and the music is at a level where you can hear it but also enjoy conversation.

This place was amazing. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic Naan. They were absolutely delicious!! I ordered an extra naan to take home and had enough to take home for leftovers. I enjoy spicy and had mild and that was enough for my liking. Anything spicier would be too much for me. I would come back again and try another dish.

I am a huge lover of Indian food and have been spoilt since I am from London, England aka India’s second home. Since living in Virginia I have found it hard to find good, quality Indian food. Saffron provides an extensive menu, something I have not found in Virginia yet – or at least in central Virginia. I have tried 8 Indian restaurants in central Virginia and I can wholeheartedly say that Saffron ranks number 1!! I am so impressed with the menu, the appetisers are delicious in particular the chicken and vegetarian pakora. The naan is perfectly fluffy and tasty and my favourite curries that I’ve tried so far are the lamb Rogan Josh and chicken Bhuna. I am excited to taste more of the menu and visit again soon. Flavour, textures and authenticity is second to none!!

If you’re on the fence about eating here, absolutely give it a shot! Service was lightning fast, food came out hot and delicious, and they have amazing naan baskets with three different breads in each. You get plenty of rice with the meal and the appetizers are great. Everyone was super nice and polite, everything was clean, and it was overall a very good experience. Entree prices might be a teeny bit steep, but we still had leftovers getting only two of them for three people, because we ordered so much extra stuff (two apps and both naan baskets.) We will be back!

I have been waiting for a decent Indian restaurant for years in the area. I brought my mom and kids the first time and we all enjoyed the dishes. They cooked my mom’s okra dish to perfection and my lamb was so tender and flavorful. The kids also were extremely happy with the kids menu, as they have options of a few tasty and mild Indian dishes and then your standard chicken nuggets. Everything is priced well, the ambiance is nice and it is very clean. Please go and try it out so they stay and we don’t live in a food desert. You won’t regret it.

I’ll give them three stars, because I think with a few tweaks they could make it five. It’s really more of a two-and-a-half star than three, so I’m being generous. I’m an Indian food lover, and I had high hopes for this place based on other’s reviews. I don’t like giving a poor review, but if I owned a place like this I’d want to know, so here we are.
