The food tastes wonderful, I ate Butter Chicken. Unfortunately, there is no buffet in the evening.

Spacious, bright and welcoming dining area. Got seated pretty quickly and our waitress was great. Very attentive and friendly. We had garlic naan, vindaloo lamb and shrimp korma. Medium for spicy and I feel that was plenty hot. We like spicy food so if you don’t then order mild. The good was very tasty and great. I think I like my husband vindaloo lamb better than mine. We would return here again and try other dishes.

Lamb kebab had a deep marinade flavor and had a nice grilled char. The lamb retained the moisture well. Onions and green bell pepper were essentially raw. The raw onion paired very well with the lamb marinade and char. Order a side of saffron rice with the kebab and its a meal for two. If I could give this a 6th star for the food, I would. I highly recommend this place.

We tried Saffron couple times. The place has many options to order. The prices are reasonable. The portions are good and they will refill rice as needed. The food is so tasty and the restaurant is nice from the inside. I recommend this place and I’ll keep coming here.

Saffron Indian Bistro is a modern space with both dine-in and carryout options. There are protein and heat-level selections for multiple dishes, and the flavors are fresh, including the house-made paneer. The only letdown was the gulab jamun — served at a tongue-scalding unnatural temperature and with an off taste reminiscent of freezer burn. Overall, this is among the best Indian food in Tucson. The patio is also inviting and peaceful, with generally good service, and we’re looking forward to going back soon.

Definitely one of the best Indian meals that I’ve had in Arizona. The chicken masala was really really tasty. I did ask for medium spicy and I thought it was kind of mild but that may just be because I’m accustomed to space. Our server, who was originally from the UK, was super nice and helpful. Definitely some place that I will go back to.
